Q: What are the differences between trim levels on the Nissan 350Z (2003-2004)?
I'm planning to buy a used 2003 or 2004 350Z, and I need to know what the differences are between the various trim packages: Base, Enthusiast, Performance, Touring, Track.

A: 'Basic differences' Base is pretty bare bones (no limited slip, maybe no ABS) Enthusiast gives a couple more options, limited slip, (no cruise though in 03) Performance has the increased wheel size. Touring is with leather and all the goodies(upgraded stereo, etc.). Track is a little more power and Brembo brakes (4 piston calipers in front)

Q: My 2003 Nissan 350Z Bose Stereo has no midrange control. Can an aftermarket graphic equalizer be added?
I have a 2003 Nissan 350z with a factory Bose stereo. It sounds OK but has no midrange control. Just treble and bass. From what I've read some of the later Bose factory stereos have some settings like "arena" or "club" where it provides some equalization but this 2003 unit does not. It has a decent sub but by the time you turn it up loud enough to feel the sub the midrange is so loud it sounds like crap. Can an aftermarket equalizer be added? Could an aftermarket 9 band graphic equalizer be added in-line and installed behind the flip up door in the dash? Every car stereo dealer I talk to wants to sell me a $2,000 touchscreen aftermarket stereo. This stereo would sound great if I had the ability to take out some of the midrange and accentuate the highs and bass. I see equalizers that should do the trick at Crutchfield for less than $200 but don't know if they would work with this factory powered system. Any suggestions?

A: yes you can add a EQ, it will make it sound much better with the Bose speakers and as a rule those touchscreen radios need EQs also because they usually only come with a two or three band EQ

i want to know if the 350z have bose sound system. plus im 6'4 6'5 n i would like to know if i would fit good in that car? thanks

A: The Touring edition has the bose premium sound, and yes at 6 foot 5 you will fit SNUG as a bug in a rug in your 350z.but who needs a stereo with 280 horsepower

Q: IF i take out my a/c in my 2003 nissan 350z will i see performance?
just wanted to know if my car will be faster will it be noticable and will it be easy to take it out please help me im reducing weight in the car to improve power to weight ratio also taking out stereo and subs and pss seat.

A: It will take quite a bit of weight to notice a significant amount of performance. Generally, every 100lbs removed equals 1/10th of a second quicker on a quarter-mile race. So 2600lbs stock car, say 16 flat. Remove 100lbs, you may run 15.9. With the A/C removed, that's one less 'motor' your engine is working to pull. Another quick and easy way to gain a noticeable amount of power is to remove Power Steering. Good luck!

Q: How do you install front side markers on an 2003 Nissan 350Z ?

A: Hi there, as 03x33 says from behind the bumper, 1st time I fitted a set I removed the bumper but after that I realised they could be replaced with the bumper in place. Removing the lower stone guard and getting them from beneath. Cheers

Q: 2001 mustang gt or 2003 nissan 350z?
what is more expensive to insure full coverage 2001 mustang gt 5 spd or 2003 nissan 350z 6 spd i am just wondering in general which is more expensive i am 23 years old. ok i already own the mustang, but i was wondering if i sell it and get a 350z is the insurance more expensive or cheaper?

A: Both are sports cars, which means both will be high. Shop around

Q: how much would it cost to change a 2003 nissan 350z manual transmission to an automatic transmission?

A: way too much...you'd be better off selling the car and buying one with an automatic. I would think you'd need not only the trans but a computer, wiring, mounts, etc. big job...not for the average backyard operation!

Q: How fun is a 2003 + Nissan 350Z to drive?
I have never driven one. I've test driven a several newer mustangs, though, and they're pretty fun. Anyone driven both? Can you compare?

A: It feels like driving a go-cart at first. You're low to the ground and the whole car is nuch smaller comparatively than anything else I've driven. It's still pretty damm fun though!

Q: Any differ in Fuel types in 2003 nissan 350z?
I've been putting reg. unleaded, but want someone's input if any other would be better or maybe other types would do harm. Bought the car used so don't know what type of fuel.

A: Using the proper octane fuel in you car will allow you to get similar performance to what is advertised for your car. Nissan recommends premium fuel for your 350Z. This fuel with octane at or above 90-92. Using a lower octane than specified is fine to run in the engine, but you will probably see a drop in performance and fuel economy from what you are told by Nissan. The octane recommendations are typically printed in the users manual that should be with you car.

Q: Is a 100k miles too many for a 2003 Nissan 350z?
The dealer wants $12,000 for this car and it has 98k miles and a clean carfax and only one owner. The car drives strong and smooth, but I'm not sure if its too many miles for this car. This is the enthusiast edition.

A: I just bought a 2007 grand touring edition 350z, white with the white frost leather interior in immaculate condition. The car only had 17,213 miles when I purchased and was certified pre-owned. The dealer was asking 22,888 and I paid 18,500 not counting tax, title etc. Point is the car you're talking about is 4 years older with about 81,000 more miles for only $6,500 less. Nissans are durable cars, my last one went well over 100,000 miles but you need to talk that dealer down. It also depends on what type of z the car is, enthusiast, touring, grand touring, roadster...the price range is very different for each one. Good luck, I love my z

Q: what are the best parts for a 2003 nissan 350z for the price?
i am currently deployed in africa for 15 months, and want to put some money into my Z. it's a 2003 enthusiast, i already have nismo intake, stillen center exit exhaust, nismo spoiler, and plan on getting 20" axis penta wheels w/ toyo tires and sparco racing seats. i'm looking for anything i can do to make it faster first off, i like nismo parts but they don't have everything and they're pretty expensive, any ideas on stuff like plugs, ignition wires, etc? i do plan on getting twin turbo later, any suggestions or arguments why not? also lookin to customize, wanna do some custom interior work like trim painting, stuff like that, also does anyone know of good body parts? i know stillen has a project 350z that's nice and is a good guide to look off of, just seein if anyone else has some good ideas for me. if you have links to check stuff out let me know!

A: Try : motorsport.com. There a lot of good deals on used parts on eBay also!
