Q: I have a 2004 Nissan 350z Anyone else have a lot of problems with theirs?
Just wondering I bought mine brand new and don't drive to hard I only have 55 56 thousand miles on it seem to have a ton of problems. Has anyone else had a lot of problems? I tried to list them all but can't fit it all I had to replace the brakes at 13 thousand miles that cost me $1400.00 and many other costs that you should not have to spend on a car I put after market brakes on it and have not had to touch them since. Nissans service manager told me their policy was to dodge having to fix anything for free. My car will not start and idle on its own anymore once I start it I have to give it gas for it to idle I have yet to bring it in but it could just be the comp. system. that would be the 4th time that has happened. Over all build quality is extremely poor many things are starting to show age that you would expect to see on a car that has 120 thousand miles or more.. and I do take great care of my car.

A: People tend to slide down the seat bolster and wear away the side of the drivers seat. Sit down then swing in your legs. Next 13,000 is to soon for brakes. Most of my customers get 30,000 once they settle down and allow more distance to the car in front. Your Nissan Service manager sounds crummy. Idle air control can be effected by several things like a battery going dead or engine trouble code. A set of tires each year to 15 months is normal for a car where you cannot rotate. And most of all it is a SPORTS CAR. Build quality? remember it was price that got you to purchase and power that keeps driving fun. If you want build quality buy Porsche for around 90,000 or Z-8 BMW for 100,000 or Mercedes Mc Laren V-10 for 250,000. The 350Z still is the bang for the buck leader. Have you driven a Honda S-2000? or a Base model Corvette? Not much in the under 50,000 segment that can run as well as a Z does.

Q: 2003 acura 3.2 cl s-type or a 2004 nissan 350z whats will win??

A: It's not the car, it's the driver!!

Q: what does it take to put a 2007 nismo 350z motor into a 2004 nissan sentra 1.8 s?
what modifications would have to be made to the sentra?

A: The question is why? Why modify a car so heavily that it will cost you more than just get a better engine already in a better car? I have been doing modifications in Japan to GTOs, FTOs, Fairladys, Supras, Soarers, Silvias, Evos.... It's not worth it. IT is too much money. To answer your questions, to start engine mounts, convert the center for the drive shaft, re-construct the frame in the rear so the differential does not puncture the gas tank, then you have to get the correct cluster, which will not fit, then you must change the wiring harness and the ECU. Total around $8,000 to $10,000 just in labor. So, why? You can get a RWD Silvia for that much money and put a SR20DET which will yield so much power you won't know what to do with it. Save your money, don't waste it on labor. Get a car that has potential for power and speed, and not heavily modify another one. You might as well burn your money, it's not worth it.

Q: How can i make my 2004 Nissan 350z faster without adding a twin turbo kit or supercharger kit?
Anything to make it faster without twin turbo or supercharger. Something efficient that could boost my cars 287 HP to at least 305 HP or more.

A: faster or quicker?how often are you red lining your car at 140 mph verses beating someone off the line from a dead stop? that's the question... if you want to beat people off the line then get small profile , high traction tires , that get more torque to the road and rap out faster on the rpm gage.you will go through the gears faster!also id gut any stock exhaust you have and go with high flow large diameter pipe.or if you are not concerned with passing inspection then id get rid of the catalytic converter.

Q: What is the best looking body kit I should get for my 2004 Nissan 350Z Roadster?
Im trying to stay under $1,200. It will be painted black. I don't want anything too flashy or exotic. Just a nice classy look for the car.

A: Either stick with your stock look or go with a well known company that designs their kits in a wind tunnel. These cheap kits you see all over the place are designed only for looks and they can totally screw up the drag coefficient of your ride making it handle and drive like a wet rag. Nismo stuff is expensive.. your looking at about $1500 for the front lip, side skirts and rear valance. http://www.nissanusa.com/pdf/microsites/nismo/NISMO_car_catalog.pdf Stillen is a better option. Wind tunnel design and a much better price than the nismo parts. The stillen kits are made out of urethane.. which is the same stuff your factory bumper is made out of so it's very durable. http://www.stillen.com/product.asp?id=STIBODY04&c=EX&year=2003&make=NISSAN&model=350Z

Q: Should I buy a 2004 Nissan 350z?
I am planning to buy a 2004-2005 Nissan 350z base/enthusiast within a couple of months. However, I hear a lot of complaints regarding tire wear. Is this a common issue for all 2004-05 Nissan 350z? I am really into this car and hope to hear from Z owners as well as others. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

A: I have a 2005 350Z Base and have had ZERO problems with the "tire feathering" or premature tire wear due to factory misalignment of the wheels. The 2003 Models seem to have ALL had this problem, BUT it was corrected by Nissan for 2004 and 2005 and later models. I'm very happy with the car - Great performance and handling and surprisingly, not bad on gas! However, when my lease is up on my Base Coupe at the end of '08, I may look into a higher trim Roadster (Enthusiast or Performance), since those models offer Traction Control, something the Base Model DOESN'T! Good Luck with your 350Z...It'll be a fun ride!!
