Q: Nissan 350z 05' automatic to manual conversion (touring coupe)?
Hi, I currently live around Los Angeles. I was wondering if the 2005 Nissan 350z touring coupe automatic be converted to a manual transmission. If so, about how much will that be cost? Will the dealer be able to do things like this? thanks!
A: To put it in perspective the conversion would run around $15,000 to get it done correctly. You would need the following: Tranny, tranny mounts, shift linkages, shifter, console for inside the car to accept the shifter, ECU from a manual, COMPLETE engine/tranny wiring harness from the manual, clutch master cylinder, hydraulic lines, clutch pedal assembly, flywheel from the manual car, exhaust from the manual because the tranny is a little larger than the auto, and quite a bit of time. I have probably forgot some little parts, I just listed what I could remember off the top of my head. But the dealer would NOT even think of doing this.
Q: Rockford Fosgate P1S410 in a Nissan 350z?
I drive a 2005 Nissan 350z. It has a 10" Bose sub behind the driver set. I was wondering if I could put a 10" Rockford Fosgate P1S410 in it without having to put in a new amp?

Q: I have a NISSAN 350Z 2005 ROADSTER I change the air intake for a k&n typhoon. Which spark plugs should I buy.
I take one of the factory and is a NGK/R PLFR5A but it have carbon black all around and the electrode is very tiny, it's normal this weare is only 3800 miles
A: whatever you think is best find out what the stock ones are if there iridium then stick with that.if not then get some platinum Bosch plugs
Q: can a stock 2005 nissan 350z beat a stock 2007 bmw 345xi (the 345xi comes with twin turbo stock)?
A: Apples to Oranges. It's not even the same league.
But if you must, the car's only half the equation. An automatic Z vs. DSG equipped 345 is a no brainer. 6MT Z vs DSG 345 is a close race.
Take it to the track and find out.
Q: What is the best (and not too expensive) way to add some power(horsepower and torque) to my 2005 nissan 350z?
The 350z is an enthusiast model with a manual transmission. I was thinking maybe a turbocharger or twin turbo charger...I heard that the TT reduces turbo lag.Unfortunately, I was looking up prices and they are in the $5000-$8000 range. Is there anything cheaper? Or, should i go with a supercharger? I want to add about 50-100 hp and 50-100 torque. I have also heard mention of a mod chip??? I do not know what that is...Sorry for it being so long.
A: Just go with a single turbo that is properly sized for your car. You could go with a "chip" but....... they cause other various problems especially when you go to one that SUPPOSEDLY adds 17% to 33% boost that you want. Main one will be pre-ignition and the need for fuel in the 95 octane rating or even higher. I have to run racing fuel in my car thats rated at 96 octane or I get pre-ignition and from experience this is NOT what you want.
You have a manual transmission so being in the boost range should not be a problem with a single properly sized turbo. Remember bigger is not necessarily better when it comes to turbo'ing a street car that you're not launching at 7 grand all the time. And don't forget an intercooler or you're wasting your money turbo'ing the 350Z.
Good luck sounds like a lot of fun! I recently drove a heavily modified Nissan 300 Twin Turbo with a 19psi boost. It WAS FAST and the owner let me drive it like I stole it! It broke loose when I slam shifted it into 4th gear. It was considerly faster than the Carrera Turbo that he had. I drive a '07 Carrera and '07 Corvette quite often and without any doubt this 300 will cream both of them.
Q: What would my payments be like if I traded in my 2008 pontiac G6 for a 2005 Nissan 350Z?
I currently have a pontic G6 that I am paying about $480 a month for. I am very good on payments, sometimes paying 2 months ahead, and my credit is good, but it's even better than when I bought my G6. I want to trade my G6 in for a 2005 Nissan 350Z. How much do you think my payments would be? Would they be cheaper or more expensive? My G6 was a little over $20,000 when I bought it. It has under 10,000 miles on it. And it has cloth interior, no sunroof, power, and it's an automatic.
A: No matter what, you are going to take an absolute bath on the G6. They can't give those things away. You might want to wait a while. If it's a lease, you may be able to find someone o take over the payments. Good luck.
Q: How do you reset the tpms on a 2005 Nissan 350Z?
A: no idea
Q: how much would it cost for my 17 year old son to have insurance on a 2005 nissan 350z?
A: Having insured many young drivers in my years, it has been my experience that with 18 months of getting their license, the young driver will have an accident. So, I guess the question is: Would you rather he wreck it at high speeds in a 350z and perhaps become a fatality OR would you rather have him wreck a bigger slower car and perhaps survive?
Now, I know "He's a good driveriver" and "He never speeds" and "He's such a good son" but he could become just as dead.
The worst case I can remember was the 17 year old that was driving the latest/greatest Mustang. He hit a telephone pole about mid body of the car, wrapped the car around the pole ans was pronounced dead at the scene. Oh, I failed to mention...the car was TWELVE FEET OFF THE GROUND!!
Do what you think is best but the son (and family) would be better served by putting him a more sedate auto - Toyota Camry, Honda Accord 4dr or something similar. Let him learn to drive - there'll be more time to enjoy your son and let him drive sports cars later in life when HE Can afford the payments.
Don't let me read about him in the paper, please......
Oh...back to your question...rates are controlled by individual States and insurance companies that write policies in your State. It would be best to call a local indepent agent that has many companies to choos from. Just look for the PIA or Big I (Trusted Choice) logos and you should finad a qualified agent to help you.
Good luck and please make the RIGHT choices.
Q: What type of light bulb goes into the tail light of a 2005 Nissan 350Z?

Q: Compare 1998 corvette to 2005 Nissan 350Z convertible?
I am looking at trading my 1998 Chevy Corvette for a 2005 Nissan 350Z convertible.Do you think I will be happy with the Nissan?I have had the corvette for about 6 years.
A: i know a couple a guy's with 350z's and they luv'em, they are fast, handle great BUT when they need fixin, holy smoke are their part's COSTLY, out side of that they are a sweet ride but then so is the vett.
Q: Insurance wise, what would be more expensive; 2006 toyota avalon or 2005 nissan 350z ?
I'm purchasing a car soon and i would like to know. I know sports cars have very high insurance but newer cars also. So i was just wondering.
A: Definitely the 350z. The Avalon may be newer, but its still not worth as much as an older 350Z. Plus, parts are more expensive to get for a 350Z if you're ever in an accident. It's a fun ride though!
Q: will nismo products for a 2005 nissan 350z work and fit properly on 2006 nissan 350z?
i recently bought a 2006 nissan 350z and i want to add some nismo products to it. everywhere i look all i see are parts for the 2003-2005 models. so my question is will 2005 nismo products work and fit properly on 2006 nissan 350z?
A: The only changes that I know of were Brembo brake package and a new vehicle speed-sensitive steering rack. For the exterior, the Z sports a revised front bumper and new headlight and taillight designs. Eighteen-inch wheels and HID headlights are now standard on all models. Changes inside include new cloth seat material, revised climate controls and a new navigation system. Finally, Nissan has made some adjustments to the Z's trim levels. A Grand Touring trim level is now available for the coupe body style; it features the Touring trim's equipment plus Brembo brakes, spoilers and stability control. Additionally, the Track and Grand Touring trims get new RAYS super lightweight forged-alloy wheels that measure 18 inches in front and 19 out back.
So it should be mostly the same, perhaps they have not updated their website to show 2006. But I would ask before you buy a part just to be sure. But it should be the same.
