Q: What effect will the release of the 370Z have on the price of the 350Z?
I'm looking to buy a 350z sometime soon (6mo-2yr). I'm hoping that the release of the 370z, coupled with the economic troubles of the automobile industry, will result in a price drop on all levels of the 350z (new and used).
Do you think Nissan will reduce the price of a new 350z since it will be discontinued in January 2009 with the release of the 370z?
A: Nissan may not have a rebate or anything, but they will offer some good apr's. Plus dealers may let them go for invoice. I suspect used prices may remain the same. It's all about how well the car is taken care of, mileage, year, trim level, etc....
Q: Nissan 350Z question?
Has anyone seen what the new 2009 Z looks like yet?
How long does your proof of income have to be before appling for a new car at a dealership? Someone told me it was at least 6 months, to show that you make some kind of income. Is this true? How much down do they ask for on a Z and how much per month would it normally be on average?
A: yeas googel nissan 370z and u should pull up some pics i kinda resembles a mix of the old 350 the nissan gtr and the new maxima al smashed together.
how much down theyll ask will depend on ur credit score and how much ur looking to pay a month. as of what ull pay a month is still up in the air. they havent release pricing info on it yet... plus if its like the 350z there will be different models(sport, touring, grand touring, etc.) to choose from starting at diffrent prices. and it will also be based on ur down payment and ur apr% based on ur credit score ,.
Q: Nissan 370z or current 350z...Need everyones quick opinion...?
So I've been following the upcoming Nissan 370z since it was just a mere rumor, all the spy shots, rendering so on and so forth. I'm looking to save up some money for when it does come out, I can have enough for a down payment. Now my question is, should I just trade in my vehicle for a current 07/08 350z or wait the year or so until early 2009 when the Nissan 370z is going on sale??
A: I would suggest purchasing a 07/08. First year cars sometimes have "issues" (ie. recalls). 09 is too new and no one really knows what to expect from the 370z. I would get a 350z and wait until at least late 09 to mid 10 to see if there are many recalls and what the general likeability of the car is.
Q: Mitsubishi Eclipse VS Nissan 350z?
Whats better?
a 2009 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT with 263 HP
or
a 2008 Nissan 350z with 303 HP
which is a better coupon affordable race car? under 35k
A: To race, the Nissan 350 Z is the better choice. It's rear wheel drive makes it better on launch and in corners if you are an excellent driver. Nice car to drift. The Eclipse is far from sporty. It looks sporty but does not evoke the confidence of driving a sports car. I like the looks of the Eclipse. The strong V6 brings the car to a quick start, but being front wheel drive, it's not a good launcher as it were if it were a rear wheel drive.
Q: What difference between nissan 350z and 370z?
saw video here
http://www.carversation.com/2008/12/04/videonew-2009-nissan-370z-road-test/
and was curious?
A: The new car will be in dealers soon all the car magizines have storys this month. Smaller lighter shorter different tail lights and front end headlights and grill openings. Transmission rev matching manual shifter. A Nissan first makes the heel and toe blip of the throttle for you but can be turned off. Variable event and lift valve timing Another feature that makes more power on less fuel. Motor is 200cc larger. Internal combustion engines are about as efficent as they can be. I have not driven one yet but we should see the new car this month.
Q: How is a nissan 350z going to be?
I am getting a car in 2009 and i wanted to know how much a 04 nissan 350z is going to be
A: If the car is in excellent condition probably about $17,500 depending on a few factors like where you live etc. I wouldn't get one with over 65k on it. Thats about 13,500 miles on it a year which is pretty good. Anything over 15,000 per year for any car I would stay way from.
That is the base model. It is a hell of a car too. 287hp 274 lb-ft is gonna pull a car that weighs just a little over 3000 pounds to a very high speed very quickly.
I don't know if your really into driving or if it is just a car that looks cool but this is the standard drifting car of the world. The back end will slid out like the hand of god pushed it.
This being said I would take a good hard look at what you are buying. You are buying basically a race car to be honest. Make sure some punk kid hasn't run this thing into the ground.
For me not being a big Japanese car lover this is one that I would respect.
Q: How much horse power/mpg should I be expecting for my 350Z?
I'm planning on getting a new 2008/2009 Nissan 350Z, and I want to know if I get an air-intake system and get a dyno tune how much horse power increase should I be expecting and will it affect the mpg I can get?
A: The 350Z have standard of 306 HP
Installing DYNO tune will give you extra 10HP
and the Air-Intake will gives you approximate of 15HP more.
You will get total of 331HP at least.
Q: Does anyone know the specs on Nissan's 2009 350z?
I've been wanting to get this car since I graduated college 3 years ago. I finally have enough in the bank to buy this guy cash money. I'm debating whether or not to try and strike a deal on a 2007 or 2008 model during this economic crisis or wait to see what the 2009 model will bring.
I don't see the specs at nissanusa.com
and http://www.leftlanenews.com/nissan-350z-coupe.html only gives a general overview of the 350z series.
The other articles mentioned are very old and don't give any definite specifications.
If I'm missing something in these links, please let me know. Thanks!
Just found this: http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/Features/articleId=132867
The Z Roadster is a carryover for 2009. Orange ventilated seats are no longer available, while Pikes Peak White gives way to Moonlight White. The 350Z coupe skips the 2009 model year altogether due to the imminent launch of the 2010 Nissan 370Z. The roadster will move to the new platform architecture later in 2009.
can I have my 5pts back?
A: You mean 370Z Its very likely that the 350z will follow the G35's lead (being built on the same platform) & bump power from 3.5liters to 3.7, thusly changing its name plate. Exterior changes are anybody's guess. Check Autoblog.com for updates; link below.
Nissan reveals plans for 2009 Z-car

A Nissan exec recently spoke with Auto Express and revealed plans about the replacement for the current 350Z, which is due out in 2009. Citing Porsche's upcoming Caymen as a benchmark to beat, Nissan will infuse with the next Z-car with a more involving chassis and powerful engine. Vague details, to say the least, although the exec goes on to say the next machine will be more "hardcore" in its execution. That sounds great if it happens, although we hope the next Z doesn't tip the scales much more than the current one already does.
Autoblog reader Sei tipped us off to an article over at the GT Channel that purports to have the inside scoop on the development of a prototype retractable hardtop that can be fitted to the 350Z. Autech, an arm of Nissan whose focus is on specialty vehicle conversions, has developed a system that is likely to be equipped on the next Z car – if it's deemed cost effective and can fit within the Z's pricing structure.
If certain rumblings are to be believed, the next Z could debut as early as this year's Tokyo Motor Show in October, likely a refresh rather than an outright redesign. The coupe would be shown in concept form, with sales likely to begin in 2009, and that's when we'd expect this rumor to be confirmed.
Q: antone know were to find a REAL 2009 nissan 350z pic?
A: Check out this photo.
Q: I want the same sound that the 350z gives on my 2009 nissan murano. How can I get that sound??
I now know the FX45 won't fit my murano and won't give me the same sound because of the engine size. Will the 350z exhaust give me the sound I'm looking for and will it even fit??
A: The 350z and Murano have the same engines. Both 3.5L V6.
The 350z has a performance exhaust system, which goves it more power and a louder sound.
You need to get a performance exhaust system.
They are everywhere online.
The 350z exhaust would not fit unless it is modified to go around the piping under your car.
Q: What type of car should i buy in 2009 the new chevy camaro or the new nissan 350z ?
Any suggestions?
A: go for the nissan 350z
cus chevy right now is fuc**d and if u want to find parts is goin to be hard in the long run
Q: 2009 nissan 350z upgrades?
im just wonder what engine upgrades are suppose to be done to the 350 in 2009. i was told the body was going to be smoothed out more and the engine was going to be upgraded a little bit more.
A: It's going to ship with the VQ37VHR 330HP 3.7L V6, which will bring the name change to 370Z. The body is going to stay the same, only with smoother lines. Also, the Nissan GT-R is already being sold in Japan, imports and sale will start in the U.S. in May 2008.
Q: 2009 Nissan 350z/357z...Worth waiting for or instead go for the 07/08?
I've seen all kinds of artist renditions and so on of what the new 350z/357z will look like. The spy video I've seen of their test mule only shows that the front head lights are major difference. A smaller/tighter wheelbase and I heard a little more horsepower. I thought Nissan was going to completely remodel it? Should I just wait for the 2009-2010 model or just focus on getting the current model?
A: Don't wait the 3.7 liter motor is not that much more powerful. And besides we will love our cars even more when gasoline hits $4.00 this summer. Get it now before inflation makes the price 30% higher too.
Q: Questions regarding the 2009 Nissan 350Z/400Z?
First off, I've searched high and low:
1) I know the body style is going to change in 2009 but, I cant find a picture - do you have a site you can share with me to see the picture?
2) I also heard the Nissan 350Z in 2009 will not be called the 350Z however will be called the 370Z or the 400Z - is that true.
Any type of information would be of assistance....
Thanks again!!!
A: 1. I haven't heard anything of the bodystyle change, but I haven't seen any spy shots of a replacement either. So it may be further off than 09.
2. Well there is a new version of the VQ engine that is in the Infiniti G37 and that will probably get put in the 350Z which will have it's name changed to the 370Z as a result.
Q: What would you rather have: a 2009 Nissan 350Z or a 2009 BMW M3?
This is an opinion question.
A: BMW M3. More spacious and has an excellent engine. You can easily get 250'000 miles out of a well maintained BMW.
