Q: Why would I have to remove one of the fuel injectors on a 1999 nissan altima before it will crank?
If I leave all the injectors in the car floods out. And if I take one out the car will crank. I put in a new pump and one of the old gas lines from the old pump was melted. Is the return line stopped up? Do I have to blow the return line out or the injectors?

A: check the fuel pressure and if it goes too high its a clog in the return, if it goes down fast after the pump turns on and turns off then its a leaky injector/ fuel line/ a valve in the pump. does the car run or anything? what symptoms is it exibiting?

Q: Where is the brake light switch located on a 1999 Nissan Altima?
My rear 3 brake lights are simulatneously out its not fuses or bulbs more like an electrical issue. I heard it might be my brake light switch but I dont know where exactly it is.

Q: Is it hard to change a Distubutor on a 1999 Nissan ALtima GLE?
Mechanic is charging me 450.00 for the job.

A: Labor is 0.9 hours. Locally it would be $85 an hour..so $76.50. Parts - Local auto parts store- New - $350 New (rebuilt) - $190 Used (junk yard) - $100 (I have gotten many parts over the years from junk yards..most even have warrantys now a days) He may only use new parts. Ask him if he will use a rebuilt one or even a junk yard one. If he won't then it is up to you to have it done there. A price of $450 sounds right if he uses a $350 new distributor and charges you $80 to put it in. Add tax and there you go .... $450. I have been working on Nissans for 15+ years and have yet to see a Nissan distributor go bad under 20 years old. Sure it is the problem? You could replace it yourself if you like. It is only two wire connectors and 2 bolts. Take the cap off first and mark the rotor location. It is important that the engine does not move during tis process. You have to line up the timing if you mess up. Do a little research and you'll be fine. If the labor amount is not much and you have no idea how to work on a car then let him do it. It is ok to pay people to do things we can not. ***I am not sure why anyone would insist on only using a nissan part. Leak oil? If a brand new part leaks oil then take it back and get another one. I know he works for nissan but he must know that there is a whole world out there that is not nissan***

Q: How much would you pay for a 1999 Nissan Altima with 210 k miles? Thanks?
OK please answer honestly and seriosly. The Altima look like new condition, clean, runs well. In Georgia. Only has 1 small dent on front of hood which has rust, not large. Has 17 inch not chrome rims. Maintenance records. And i know what kbb says, but would many people really pay that much for a car with 210 k on it? Please have good answers, and God bless.

A: Depends on the shape of the car. Not more than 2500

Q: Can you help? When i turn on my 1999 Nissan Altima's parking/running lights/dashboard lights they dont come on
1999 Nissan Altima GXE. The fuse for this circuit does keep blowing and I replaced my stereo months ago. What else could contribute to this problem? Help! I can't drive at night. By the way, my headlights and brake lights DO work and the tail lights and brake lights are on the same bulb.

A: you must have tied the radio lights to the panel lights and they are tied to the tail lights. tail and brake lights have different circuits in the same bulbs. If you are driving at night and the instrument lights go out, there is a good change the tail lights went out too, in case of a emergency turn on the turn signal so you will have something out back for other cars to see.
