Q: Where can I buy a driver side back door for a 2003 Nissan Altima?
I have a dent in my back door on my car. The door works great all I need is the shell, to replace the dent. Any ideas where I can buy one?
A: Check your area for junk yards or "you pull it" salvage yards. they are usually reasonably priced.
Q: where can I get a replacement for a side rear view mirror for a 2003 nissan altima?
The outsude is ok(the part that holds the mirror) but I need the mirror that goesinside that? Where can I go to get that replaced in orlando, fl? For a decent price?
A: I would try a local salvage center (junk yard) if you can't find one there you will probably have to get one at the dealer because it is a dealer part only.

Q: How to change a headlight bulb on a 2003 Nissan Altima.?
The manual says take it to Nissan, but I want to do it myself. There's no easy spot to screw out the old lamp, pop the halogen bulb in, and then screw it back up. Any help out there, much appreciated!!
A: screw that easy way i do it at nissan is to remove bumper, way easier, and you dont mess up bulb or hand trying to reach in small places, to remove just take all the snap clips of top of bumper i think there is 6 then remove the screw in splash shield and peel back fender liner reach up inside there is two 10 mm bolts on each corner of headlight remove those on each light, then pull bumper out and down and let hang, then there is 4 10 mm securing headlight, remove then pull out headlight and change bulb, its not hard like it sounds but im an exp nissan tech and i have the lift to work on with out scrpaing up bumper, so you might want to take to nissan, its not hard at all , the other way the guy before me said is another way i just hate doing it that way and do it my way, there is a recall on the headlights just to let you know, they burn out from a bad ground if you take it to nissan they will do recall and install two new bulbs included for free, you should call with your vin to c if your car has had that done yet,
Q: Can someone please describe the location of the crankshaft position sensor on a 2003 Nissan Altima?
I purchased the sensor after the OBD II equipment stated that there was a problem with it, and replaced a sensor that is exactly the same on the drivers side. I have a feeling that I got the camshaft sensor and not the one with the problem, therefore I need to know where the crankshaft sensor is so I can replace the right one. Dealership confirmed that the part number for both is the same but could not give me a diagram or help on the location...
Thanks in advance!
2.5L engine
Thanks to everyone that replied...
I found and replaced the sensor.
o Confirmed that camshaft & crankshaft position
sensors are the same.
o Crankshaft position sensor is a lot more
difficult to replace as it is hidden under the
engine and very difficult to access from both
under the car & from under the hood.
o Be careful with the connector to the sensor.
Since you don't see the connector at any
time and the clip is different to the camshaft
sensor you can break the connector. I broke
mine and had to find another connector at
the dealership and adapt it by cutting and soldering 3 wires.
A: Well do you have a 2.5 or 3.5 engine SE, LE, model
They're on the right side of the engine when faceing the car
need more detail info.
Q: I bought a new keyless entry for my 2003 nissan altima?
I bought a new keyless remote for my nissan altima and i have done the whole put your key in and out six times and then push any button on the remote, but still it doesn't work it just makes my hazard lights flash. Please help.....
A: Retry the process and make sure that you didn't miss a step. When programming these things, they are very sensitive and if you miss a step, it won't work correctly. Good luck.
Q: How to remove tweeters in a 2003 Nissan Altima?
I want to remove and replace the OEM tweeters with new OEM tweeters because one of them are blown.
Also how do you remove the panel?
A: do you want to completly remove them or just disconect them.
to disconect them they are normally run off the other speaker.
1. remove paneling to reveal both speakers.
2. remove both speakers (clips or screws)
3. disconnect wiring from tweeter and run it back till it splits from the other speaker.
4. disconect and discard wire where it connects at other speaker.
you have sucesful removed sound from the tweeter.
if you only want it disconected replace speakers and paneling.
job done.
if you want to completly remove it just ont put it back in but replace the panel that covers it (or your left with a big hole)
**Attention**
if they have been conected and you remove them you will notice a significant difference in the sound quality.
i have added 6 1inch tweeters to my car to acheve a balance in the sound.
Q: How do I program a keyless remote to a 2003 Nissan Altima?
I have looked on the internet to determine how to program a remote with little success. I know that there something to do with removing and inserting a key in and out of the ignition, but the hazard lights does not come on. The problem is that when I replaced the battery and close the unit, it automatically opens pops the trunk and nothing else. What can I do besides taking it to a dealer? I cannot afford to pay for them to do everytime I have this problem. Please help.
A: Problem is your remote one of the buttons has malfunctioned when you close the remote trunk button activates and then it cannot broadcast the other signals. If you want re programing instructions jp.hudson@sbcglobal.net. But if your remote is malfunctioning that will not help until you buy some new remotes. Your hazard lights flash after 6 inserts and withdraws. But with your remote sending trunk signals? Try removing the battery from the remote then carefully look at the switch button for damage. Silver square button mashed down or corrosion
Q: Is it possible to put a trailer hitch on a 2003 Nissan Altima to pull a jetski?
I dont own a truck/suv and would like to purchase a jetski but is it possible to get a trailer hitch connected to my nissan altima to pull the jetski?
A: yes, one year I didn't have truck to pull my snowmobiles, I had a Sunfire, and that is a lot smaller than your Altima, the hitch was small but would easily haul a small trailer such as a jet-ski trailer.
go to this web site:
http://www.drawtite-hitches.com/hitch_selector_combo.htm
they run $99 to $138
Q: Why wont my 2003 Nissan Altima start?
I have 2003 altima 2.5L 4 cylinder with 80,000 miles. For about two weeks sometimes it would crank a couple of times before it started and sometimes it would just start right up. Now it started then died after about a second of running and all it does is crank. IT WONT START. HELP!
A: This could be hundreds of things. I would first start by checking for codes. Then check fuel pressure and compare to the specifications. Also check for spark. Is it weak or is it strong. Best bet is to tow it to a reputable repair facility and have it diagnosed by a professional. Most shops usually only charge on hours labor so figure around 100 dollars. This is money well spent as you can easily spend more than 100 dollars guessing and throwing parts at it, and still have the same situation.
Q: Can you change a Nissan Altima 2003 radio?
I will like to know if there is a possible way to put a indash (radio) in a 2003 Nissan Altima and still use the steering wheel controller
A: There is no such thing as an after-market radio with the same plugs as the factory one in a Nissan.
You will need a changeover harness for your Nissan. Steering wheel controls are usually done with one to three wires, depending on vehicle and the controls on the wheel. In order to retain these, you will need a stereo with a remote control. You also need a steering wheel control interface. You can get these from PAC (Pacific Accessory Corporation). The easiest is one that's made for specific radios, like for some Alpines. They would have a mini-jack in the back designed for this purpose and the interface would plug into this. The other method is to get a universal adapter, in which case you will have to mount an infrared emitter so that it can "see" the front panel of the radio. The way these work is like a programmable television remote that learns the stock remote frequencies and sends them, via the emitter, to the deck.
Q: How can i program a keyless entry remote clicker for 2003 nissan altima?
I had this 2003 altima for 5 years so my old remote kinda broke but my friend gave me a new remote. But i donno how to program it for my car. Help me out people!!!!!
A: get in car lock doors with door lock switch, insert and withdraw the key six times in 10 seconds plenty of time be precise, watch for the turnsignal to flash twice. turn key to on posistion push any button on the first remote keyless fob. if the car saw the signal the turnsignals will flash twice to program the next keyless fob unlock the door and relock the door and push button on second remote. Up to five remotes can be introduced to the car. To exit the keyless programing either turn the key off or open the drivers door. If the car does not flash when pushing the remote then look at the FCC number on both remotes they should be the same.
