it seems to be coming from torsion bar if you get under truck and shake it you can feel it in the right torsion bar what could be causing the noise do i need to replace torsion bar also it pulls to the right when you hit brakes i,m a ford mechanic but hadnt diaged my truck yet
A: Try getting it aligned first and see what happens. You may have a mount busted or it flat out is loose. Pulling to the right could also be a brake issue which I am sure you have checked the rotors and made sure the calipers are not screwed up right?

i have a 99 nissan v-6 frontier and im getting bad gas milage but i have noticed at 70 mph im running at about 28-2900 rpms is this normal the only other thing i think it could be is a torque converter but how would i check to see if it is messed up
A: If the car is moving and not jerking at all the torque converter is fine. rpms sound about right try changing the air filter and getting a tune up. Also they are putting a lot more ethanol in gasoline now which reduces the mileage we get now.
Q: i'd like to know where i can get the wiring diagram for the PCM on a nissan frontier XE 1999?
terminal 12 (air compressor ) is not grounding so A/C wont turn on i need diagram to know what to look for in the PCM

Q: 1999 Nissan Frontier - Clonk and Strange Noise Front Left?
I have a 1999 4WD Nissan Frontier w/ 108K on the odometer - just recently I started to hear what sounded like a medium pitched Wa-Wa-Wa sound almost like a slow weed wacker coming from the driver side front tire area. Prior to all of that I would get a rattle sound like little bb's in a tin can from time to time when accelerating.
That sound is usually ended with a Clonk or Thump, then the truck seems ok. I have put her in neutral and engaged then disengaged the 4WD - that seems to help.
The transmission shifts smoothly other than that hiccup.
Just wondering if anyone had any ideas, oh and I've only had the truck for about 4K. The car fax said there was some accident involving the front side - yet the under carriage looks clean.

Q: Replacing the starter on a 1999 Nissan Frontier 2.4L w/AT transmission?
I'm willing to spend an entire day carefully replacing my own starter. Will I need one of those Haynes/Chilton manuals for the job?
Anyone with experience changing the starter on this particular model? Any tips or suggestions?
A: No manual needed however the job is not all that fun. if you do not have 12mm open and box ended wrench 14mm universal wobble sockets and a whole selection of extensions and good wratcher handle. You will run into problems even seeing the top starter bolt. Starter is on the passengers side under the intake manifold you will have to work under and thru the wheel well rubber flap removed. So jack and stands will be needed. two 14mm bolts one 12mm nut holding the big battery wire. and one gray plastic plug. Awakard location heavy compact starter motor. Good Luck
Q: Where can I find the fuel pump relay and fuel pump inertia switch on a 1999 Nissan Frontier?
A: The fuel pump relay should be in a box in the engine compartment. It will have a couple of wire bundles going into it and a removable cover. Take the cover off and you'll see the relays and fuses. The fuel pump inertia switch will most likely be under the dash near the firewall on the drivers side. It will have a red button that you have to press to reset.
