Q: I can 't change the last spark plug in my Nissan frontier 2001, can somebody give me some ideas?
I can't see the spark plug, not room, it is in the back of the motor, also I can't touch it. Thanks for any help in this matter.
A: Nissan v6 engine, there is a limtted access to change the rear spark plugs due to the plenum or intake manifold. The very last one in the back can be accessed by removing the metal tubing that leads to the pcv valve, this will give you a better clearance to remove also the direct ignition coil and the spark plug. Q: 2001 Nissan Frontier clicking noise in the rear, anyone have an idea?
When the truck comes to a complete stop and accelerates again, it makes a quiet click sound from the rear. It also clicks when I make a turn or u-turn especially when going uphill. I've had to bring it to the dealer 3 times for them to fix the problem but it has yet been solved. Can anyone help me on this? Thanks.
A: sounds like one of the CV shafts making the noise. this is the shaft from the differential to the wheels

A: Even good locksmiths can do those keys now. Call around. While some high trim level frontier trucks have key less entry most do not have the key with a immobilizer chip inside it. Q: i left the lights on all night in my 2001 nissan frontier. whats wrong?
this morning when i went to start it it wouldnt turn over or anything. i hooked up a jumper/charger box and turned the key and all the warning lights on the dash went crazy. whats wrong?
A: It sounds like your battery is very flat and needs to get some juice in it! Some car batteries need to be hooked up to the charger for at least an hour before things go back to normal with the electrics. So give it at least an hour on the charger and see if that makes a difference, if not it may be time for a new battery!
Q: 2001 nissan frontier, how do you change the light above the right signal light?
its the light above the right signal, i have tried to reach in like the body to remove it but my hand bearly fits i cant twist it. I also treid removing the whole head lamp, but i removed every visable bolt and it still did not want to come loose. has anybody ever succesfully changed one of these lights? is their like a nut that i havent found that i need to remove?
A: i own a repair shop,and there are 2 hidden ones you didn't get to,that's whats holding it on you have to look hard for them i have only had to do this job one time and i remember i had a heck of a time doing it,but you will find them,i finally took the whole light out like you was doing,it turned out to be easier to do,good luck with it,i hope this help,s.
Q: free wiring diagram for 2001 Nissan Frontier pick-up needed?
The instrument bundle became erratic. Troubleshooting code reads speedometer sensor. Checked fuses & they are okay. Lights, heat, etc still working fine. Before I spend $150.00 for the part I want to check the connections. but need a wiring diagram. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.
A: a wiring diagram is a must be carefull not to test certain low voltage solid state circuits with anything but a digital multimeter! speed sensor codes would only refer to the speed sensor (location transmission) the ecu (location under passenger seat, behind stereo or behind glove compartment. In the newer nissans the speedo is driven by ecu output. i would put my money on speed sensor itself!! the replacement procedure takes far less time than the diagnostic!!

my truck was in an accident and the clips which hold the fender flares to the fenders were damaged and i am unable to replace them
A: Nissan dealership will have these parts. If you dont want to pay dealership prices, check your local autoparts stores. They may not be on the shelf, so ask a salesperson for help.
Q: 2001 nissan frontier crew cab V6 transmission overheating?
the transmission feels that it gets really hot, but sometimes only even when its not loaded. Sometimes its really loaded and it wont get hot. It does it randomly on different ocassions. Is this normal? It gets to the point were if I put a beverage in the cup holder it will get it hot I could also feel it next to my leg when im on the gas pedal.
A: You should have an oil cooler in the bottom of your radiator. check the oil lines from the tranny to the radiator and see if they have a kink in them. Sounds like that or something is not letting the oil circulate.

Q: I am considering buying a used 2001 nissan frontier 4x4?
can anyone tell me how reliable they are? maybe a link to a review? any praise or complaints from owners?
A: I used to have one. Bought it with 75k on it and sold it at 150k. It was pretty reliable, but It needed a new set of spark plugs. There are two that are very hard to get to. if you don't replace the plugs, it eats distributor rotors and caps and can stall out on you. That is an easy fix, though. The only other thing that went wrong with it was the winshield wiper linkage kept popping off at one joint.

A: With 210 horsepower, 200 lb-ft of torque at 2800, and a fairly low first gear ratio, the 3.3 litre overhead valve V6 engine has plenty of torque for hauling loads up to 500 kg (1,100 lb.). Maximum towing capacity is 1588 kg (3,500 lb.) when equipped with the standard five-speed manual transmission, but when equipped with the optional four-speed automatic transmission, the Frontier SC-V6 will tow up to 2268 kg (5000 lb). Curiously, the SC-V6's tow ratings are the same as the non-supercharged Frontier V6 model. Obviously, the supercharger doesn't provide any additional help when towing.

I had my truck hooked up to a diagnostic system and it says the sensor is bad. Also idles up and down when I am sitting still and lunges foward sometimes.

A: there should be two screws on the inside of the plastic cover, let the tail gate down and look on that side, the then two on the other side....take those out and it should pop off

It seems like the only trucks that get at least 25+ miles per gallon are the 1995-98 2.3L Ford Rangers and 2.2L Chevy S10's. So does the Nissan Frontier King Cab XE 2WD (2.4L 4cyl) get anything near this?
A: I have a 2003 Frontier 2WD 2.4L (the same body style as the '01) with a manual transmission. I generally get 24-25 MPG overall. If you are looking to buy a truck I would highly reccommend the Frontier, I have had a Chevy S10 and a Ranger and the Nissan wins for me. Mine has 53000 miles with no problems whatsoever. We run Frontiers as fleet vehicles and we have a 2001 with 208,000 miles and nothing has gone wrong. Good luck.
Q: How to remove side window on 2001 nissan frontier crew cab.?
Im trying to remove the back left window of my 01 frontier crew cab. I got the panel out and took the bolts off the window, but i don't see how it can get out. Since its a "square" shape i can't rotate to able to get it out. Anyone that has any experience on how to take it off? Thanks.
A: Take out the rubber that goes in the channel that the window sits in. You should be able the move the top of the glass outward enough to remove it. You may need to remove the channel itself.
