Q: Wheel Stops on Nissan Frontier 2002?
I have a 2002 Nissan Frontier. I have noticed when i crank the wheel to a hard left or right, for example turning into my driveway, the truck makes a loud creek or clunky noise. I was at a Nissan dealership and was told the wheel stops needed to be greased. Now ive done that but i noticed when i crank the tire and the wheel stops rub it just rubs the grease right off. Does anyone know if you need to replace these, perhaps thats why im having troubles...or should i keep greasing?? Any input would be great! Thanks

A: Your brakes may be sticking on it. Pull the tire off and check them. I had the same problem with my car.

It runs fine but when I hit 98mph it acts like iit is trying to die. I slow down to 95 and it is fine. Could it have a governer?? I bought it used. Thanks, Mud bug

A: It's not a Governor... it's a speed limiter. It's built into the computer. You can have it removed from the computer with a program or chip change at a speed shop....... But...... I think 90 is dang fast enough.

Q: What could be the cause of a Service engine light coming on on my 2002 nissan frontier pickup?

A: i own a repair shop,,and it can be any number of things causing it to come on,,you need to take it and have it scanned to see exactly what it is,, guessing wont find it on this new of a vehicle,,if you,ll take it to an auto zone they,ll test it for free for you and tell you what it takes to repair it,,and its all free,,that's the best way to find out what it is,,you,ll drive your self nuts trying to play the guessing game with it,,i do this for a living, and it could be a minor thing causing it to come on,,good luck with it,i hope this help,s.

Q: My 2002 Nissan frontier has my parking brake light coming on in cold weather, when it warms up, it disappears.
Cold weather=brake light on, warm weather= no light. I do not set the brake as I park on level ground. Is this a system glitch or what? How can I resolve this problem cheaply?

A: Chances are the brake fluid level is low enough to turn on the light. As the fluid expands with a little heat of the day and engine heat it shuts off.

Q: How to replace 2002 nissan frontier clutch?
i just bought a brand new clutch it comes with everything i need i just dont know how to do it.

A: I agree with gatorade, The manner in which you asked the question shows that you have limited knowledge in this subject no offense, but it is a lot more complicated than the clown says it is. You need a serious set of tools. including jacks, lifts, torque wrentches and probably an air compressor. It's best to let a professional repair, but it is not imposible, will just take time, don't forget safety. If you really are up to it, get a nissan manual and follow all steps to the letter. Good luck don't forget to get the flywheel resurfaced at a machine shop, and keep the engine supported.

Q: What subwoofers should i use for a 2002 nissan frontier and where should i put them?

A: well, i am going to do something a bit different and actually answer your question... for a cab that small you really do not need allot to fill it in nicely... in fact i would look into a slim mount sub, pioneer makes one that would fit in a custom box under the seat. feed it around 200 watts and you'll get full sound without waking the neighbors. also eD has a 6 1/2" sub and a thin mount 10" , that you could likely get one installed under each seat. and they could handle the 200 as well. I would go to a car audio shop, have them look at your ride and give a estimate for a custom enclosure, in the end it will look really nice (hidden) and sound great. also you could do a search for a JL audio Stealth box.. or a MTX thunder form... they are made vehicle specific and often times integrate seamlessly with the interior.

Q: I have a 2002 nissan frontier pick up.How hard is it to change the timing belt.Do i need the belt or the kit?
Is there a free instruction manual out there to help with this? I dont want to take it to a dealer and pay too much.

A: This is more work than usual. You need the belt kit and also some correct tools. I'd rather you send to the shop if you are not familiar with the timing points. To remove the belt, you have to remove the obstructing components around the engine first b4 you can reach the timing belt casing. Conclusion: Send it to a reliable shop

Q: Where is the oxygen sensor in a 2002 nissan frontier & how do I change it?
I'm looking to replace my oxygen sensor but I'm looking to buy the part online and I see "before catalyst" and "after catalyst" oxygen sensors.... which one do I need, where is it located, and do I have to take it to a shop or can I do it myself?

A: If you look at your exhaust pipes and follow it down, there will be what looks like another spark plug connected to the exhaust pipes / headers / manifold. This is the O2 sensor. You will need a special O2 sensor removal tool. It can be rented (or loaned) from Autozone for free (most of the time). There's another one just like it AFTER the catalytic converter. You can find video on how to here: http://www.advanceautoparts.com/english/youcan/mediaplayer/mediaplayer_atv.asp search to 3rd page and click on "DIY - Oxygen sensor" Good Luck

Q: What is the top speed for a 2002 Nissan Frontier Crew Cab SE?
I would like to know the top speed for a 2002 Nissan Frontier Crew Cab SE, 2 WD 6 CYL.

A: It cuts out at slightly over 100mph. It has plenty of power left at 100 and could go much faster. The cheapest method of removing the limiter is to get a piggy back ECU
