Q: 2003 Nissan Frontier tailgate won't unlock...?
My key works fine in all the other doors and the key can turn to the locked position in the tailgate lock, but it won't turn to unlock it. What can I do to get the tailgate unlocked and fix this?
A: first try another key , if thatas been done, press against the gate as your turning it, this shouldnt do anyting UNLESS the key is actually opening the gate as well as unlocking, of course this isnt the way its suppose to work , but we've seen it. u could spray a lubricant such as wd 40 or pb blaster, be carefull not to get on paint, do NOT use a litheum grease spray it may need some coaxing with the key after spraying by turning back and forth to break free. also try to turn it as u BARLEY pull or push the key while its in the lock cylinder. that works too ESPECIALLY if the key isnt original or extremely worn. lastley it may be necessary to pull the access panel from the inside of the gate and check linkages for binding or disconnection, and repair as needed hope this helps
Q: bigger slim subwoofer that will fit behind the backseat of 2003 4 Door Nissan Frontier ??
i have an 8" stock sub that came with my truck. it's a Rockford Fosgate, and i'm wanting one that's bigger but slim enough to fit the same as the stock sub .....

Q: 2003 Nissan Frontier tailgate not unlocking...?

A: it sounds like the internal locking assembly is bad. i have seen this happen with a door lock, and they had to have the insides of the lock cylinder repaired.
just on a side note, could something be frozen?

A: measure the area. if it's less than or equal to 12", it will fit.

A: are you in the USA? USA model nissan frontier don't have diesel engine in them. USA engine of the frontier are V6 gas engine.

i already got my highs ...... my lows....... just need my mid range what do u guys think? dnt forget i dont have much space in the cab and the factory door speakers give out enough voice so what should i do for more mid range???????
A: The simplest thing is to turn down the bass and treble controls. Turning down the bass and treble will make the midrange more prominent. You then adjust the volume to the level you like.
It's a cheap fix, too.
Q: Can I fit two dirtbikes in my Nissan Frontier?
I have a 2003 nissan frontier that I bought over the winter replacing my F-150 I am going to pick up my dirtbikes from storage and need to know if they will fit in my smaller truck bed. One is a honda cr 125 and one is a kawasaki kx 250. Does any one here have a compact truck that the put two bikes in. Thanks
A: sure, they'll fit-but you may have to put one in backwards
Q: 2003 Nissan Frontier V6 interior cab loud bass noise?
When the truck is not moving and in park everything inside the cab sounds quiet but as soon as you go from park to reverse and NOT moving yet the inside of the cab sounds loud like a deep bass sounds but as soon as you starts backing up it smooths out and goes away then if you come up to a stop sign and come to a complete stop the deep loud bass sound inside the cab starts again but i don't think the noise is coming from the inside of the cab(by the way its automatic transmission)
A: Get the truck on the lift and check for loose suspension parts.
Pay special attention to the exhaust hangers and transmission mount.
Check the motor mounts and your drive belts.

Q: My Nissan Frontier 2003 is making an odd noise,maybe you can help?
Every time I stop my vehicle at a light or something and then start to drive it makes this like clunking noise but not very loud.It only happens at complete stops if I'm already rollin in nuetral and then put it into gear it wont do it then. Also when I make a turn sometimes i get a loud clunk from the fender area. Please help its drivin me crazy!
A: Sounds like the torsion bar anchors. Spray with WD-40 wet them down good just to see if the noise is gone right under the the truck about where the drivers and passengers seat are each side Both have a near vertical bolt that pulls the anchor to wind up the torsion bar spring. And turning clunk look at the sway bar bushings a washer could have pulled the bar allowing the sway bar end link to move about

Q: 2003 Nissan Frontier has A/C problem. It turns on when it wants to...?
We push in the button, the light comes on but it might take a while before the air conditioning comes on if it comes at all. Also, it makes a clunk when it finally comes on.
A: The temp sensor that plugs into the evaporator may be the cause. Nissan calles it a thermo-amp. With long needle nose pliers you can install a new one with out removing the entire cooler unit just spliting it open enough to install the new evaporator temp probe. To test just plug in the new thermo- amp to see if the A/C keeps running. The white connector is just behind the left side of the glove box and has red white and black wires.

A: If you mean the engine serial number. It's on the back passenger side above the flexplate/flywheel on the block. Look behind the valve cover on the block. I hope this helps.
