Q: Qestion for Nissan Maxima 1993 left side head light high beam doesn't work?
My car is Nissan Maxima 1993. The left side head light high beam doesn't work. It worked occasionally when I tried to switched it a couple times, sometimes it didn't. The low beam works well. There is no any problem with right head light. Thanks for help!

A: IT' POSS.YOU MAY HAVE ABAD BULB.HAVE TRIED REPLACING IT?IF IT CONTINUES TO HAPPEN AFTER INSTALLING A NEW BUB CHECK THE WIRE HARNESS GOING TO THE HEADLIGHT,YOU MIGHT HAVE SOME LOOSE GROUND.

A: yeah. you will have to take in into the dealership to have the locks replaced. Might cost you a pretty nickel but its worth it if you want to fix it. I would recommend you do.

I was blowing an ignition fuse before, when I would try to startit.I fixed that short, now I am blowing the srs airbag fuse when turning over, no spark at the ignition coils, and I tried to take a diagnostic, but the check engine light isn't coming on, so it seems like no power to the pcm, any ideas what the problem may be, please?

A: Your right there is another short cirucuit several fuses feed power to the AIr bag control unit under the radio on the tunnel. One or more wires may have been pinched during a radio install and has just now shorted even the ingnition fuse provides power to the air bag module. Way back in the stone age 1992 and 1993 Maximas #94V-007 recall to replace the air bag module. Call Nissan with your Vin# and ask if that has been done to your car.

I think I found the spot but it's missing the cap. I wanted to make sure before I made the assumption.

A: The washer fluid reservoir on this car is located under the hood at right front corner of the engine compartment by the weel well if you are looking from the dirver's seat. If you are facing the engine, that would be left nearest to you corner.

A: Here's your first problem: 1993? Second problem: Nissan? (Japanese in general) Seriously, I think it might be the electromotor. I've had a similar problem with a '96 Buick Roadmaster. I've replaced the electromotor myself (it would've cost $400 at the auto place) and it works like magic.

A: You got a short in the system. check carefully the wires behind the glove box like wigging them around, look if you can see any place that may be touching metal.

I have a 1993 Nissan Maxima with 107K miles. Its a good car, but it wont run due to a transmission problem. AAMCO is quoting $2700 to rebuild the transmission with a 1 Year, 12K miles warranty. Is it worth to go for the rebuild? Is AAMCO a ripoff? I am concerned that AAMCO is not trying to charge $2700 for a $700 worth of work. Please advice. Thanks!

i was just wondering where the starter is located on a 1993 nissan maxima gxe v6 3.0L SOHC, and once its found is it hard to remove and get tested and either put that one back in or put a new one in.

A: Shouldn't be hard to find they are usually a black cylinder. It should be by the bell housing of your transmission. They are not hard to take out or put back in.
