Q: I have a Black 1995 Nissan Maxima and the intior is black leather. How can I make it not so hot when I get in?
Black car with black leather intior that needs to be cooled down!
A: Tint the car, leave a window or sunroof cracked a bit (my car's moonroof can vent), and use a windshield visor.
Use a beach towel on your seat and shift knob (if necessary). A smaller towel for your steering wheel will be good. When you get into your car, you can just fling the towels aside.
Q: How much money would it cost to put hydraulics on a 1995 Nissan Maxima?
A: My cousin had it done for $3,000.
Q: I have a 1995 Nissan Maxima and everytime I turn it on it squeeks. What can I do?
The squeeking doesn't stop until I have been driving for like about 5 minutes.
A: I had the same problem, same car model and year, about...3weeks ago. For me It was the belts. I changed both of them and it dosent make a sound anymore. But first what i tried was going to autozone and buying the STP Belt Dressing and sprayed it. it worked for 2 days but the squeal came back. So i changed them. Its hard to do on your own. The big belt is easy but the smaller one takes alot of time. Just go to atuozone and ask them to look up how to. They will tell you how to do it and hopefuly they are nice.
Q: i have a 1995 nissan maxima GLE what would cause the steering wheel to pull when it shifts into 3rd gear?

A: Call dealer have them check the vin #

Q: How do I change the air filter on a 1995 Nissan Maxima?
I have to change the air filter on my car because its cutting off occasionally due to dirt and air getting through to my engine. This is actually my first time doing this so can anyone explain to me how the put a new filter in? I know it shouldnt be that hard but I'd like to know so I can be prepared in the future.
A: First of all air should get through to your engine, second of all a dirty air filter shouldn't be letting any dirt through, it should still be filtering the air although air flow would be restricted. If it is really that bad the air filter is the least of your worries because you probably haven't done much of the scheduled maintenance.
Q: reset auto computer of 1995 nissan maxima four door ?
how can reset the computer of 1995 nissan maxima ?
A: Reseting it is only a temp fix unless you actually have fixed the problem. Your local auto parts place can do that.
Q: What is the correct tire pressure for a 1995 Nissan Maxima?

A: 32 p.s.i.
Q: I have a 1995 Nissan Maxima that has already gone through three harmonic balancers.?
Last night the third one blew apart! What's going on?
A: Now, this is a problem you don't see very often. Three H-balancers on the same motor is incredible. H-balancers are bolted on and have a key that holds them in position. It is very likely that the keyway is wormed out, too large and the key slipped out. IF this is the case, a machine shop may be able to fix the end of the crank shaft and replace the balancer, but most won't even try, too much trouble and too much risk. The answer to this particular problem requires a new crank be installed. All you have to do to check is get in there and find the key way. The keys usually used on crank shafts are either a half-moon shape or a rectangluar shape.
IF the keyway is in good shape, I would check the threads on the bolt way for the main bolt. Are the threads ok? Have them chased and retapped if necessary. Install the new balancer with a new, thread-locked bolt and washer. MAKE SURE that the bolt is torqued to factory specs before you ever turn the motor over.
Beyond that, look for broken motor mounts. Vibration and due to broken mounts can cause the same problem, but is less known.
The only other possibility that comes to mind at the moment is a problem with the crankshaft, but you wouldn't necessarily be able to check that while the motor is in the car, with the exception of pulling the oil pan or the cylinder head(s).
I hope this helps and it's nothing major.
Q: Can I reprogram a button on my 1995 Nissan Maxima remote for an automatic start?
I want to install a remote start but would like to know if I can program it to a button currently on my remote, such as the panic button which I've never used.
A: probably not, unless both remotes are made by same people and then you would have to reprogram the remote which will be costly
Q: How do you charge your Ac in 1995 nissan maxima?
My Maxima stopped blowing cold air and I wanted to know how can I Charge or what web sit I can go to for 100% help
A: If it stopped all at once, it probably sprang a leak and needs more than a recharge. I took my car to my local mechanic when this happened.
Q: About my 1995 Nissan Maxima harmonic balancer - was problem created by mechanic?
I live in Houston, Texas and we don't use road salt. We heard a noise after the car had set up for about 3 years. It sounded like the belts were loose. We sprayed belt dressing on them until we could get it to a mechanic. We had already had an alternator problem fixed there the previous week. We had a noise then too. After the belts were replaced, within two weeks the noise came back. We took it back to mechanic and that's when the 1st HB was replaced. It lasted about two weeks, then was replaced again. It's been about three weeks now, and the HB is busted again! Did they put the belts on too tight? Is it related to the alternator problem?
A: No relation to the alternater, all the balancer does is balance the crank shaft while engine is spinning,it's very rugged, take it to a differnt mechanic, and get a Haynes manual for $20 at you auto parts store or at http://haynes.com it's the best manual you can have laying around the house,i'v got 22 of them from all the cars i have owend. Also call the dealer and ask them,no call Nissan and they will answer better then any one, don't take it back to the mechanic that did this, thats for sure.
Q: Is it conveniant to do an overhaul on my 1995 Nissan Maxima?
My Maxima has a few dents and I want to fix it. Put Rims on it and do a very good paint job. But my car has 187,000 miles and I think that if im going to spend good money on it I want my Maxima to last. The engine and trans very good and strong so I really dont know what to do. I kinda wanted to do this as a project.
A: With proper maintenance the VQ30DE engine in your maxima is known to last 300k-400k miles.
However, just because they last that long doesn't mean you aren't going to have to make repairs. If these parts haven't already failed.. they will soon. C/V joints, knock sensor, starter, water pump seal and timing chain tensioner. These repairs are very expensive if you cant do them yourself. You might be better off saving the money to use for repairs to keep your max in good working order.
A good place for you to look around is maxima.org under the 4th generation forums. There you can find step by step instructions for repairs and modifications.
Q: How much would a new or used transmission cost for a 1995 Nissan Maxima?
So I went to go have my tires changed and found out from the mechanic that my transmission is slipping and I will eventually need a new one. If I can find one for cheap that would be great, but I just want to set my price range first. So does anyone know how much a transmission for the 95 maxima would normally be?
A: I'm trying to save you alot of money. I have a '95 Nissan Maxima with 190,000 miles on it. These cars have really good transmissions so first check the condition of the fluid - it should be red. If it is not, I would suggest you get a drop pan service, in which the filter will be changed and a little more than half the fluid will be changed. This service is usually around $100*
I do not suggest the flush, I don't trust them. *This is not necessarily why your transmission is slipping. It's usually attributed to low fluid level. Make sure you don't have a leak and MAKE SURE the fluid level is correct.
You may also have some minor slipping due to loose (thin) fluid, where the fluid might be red but thin, in which you will want to have the drop pan service as well. If you are unsure how to check the fluid level, get someone who does because for awhile I was unsure of how to check it.
Hope this helps.
Used, depending on mileage - $400 - $700 plus install. Rebuilt - Around $800, including labor. New, from dealer - $3000 plus install
Your ATF-type is Dexron-III
Q: Nissan Maxima 1995 stalled twice at slow speed, next morning had no electric power.?
My car, Nissan Maxima 1995 stalled twice going on freeway at slow speed. First time, everything shut off when going slow speed (all lights on panel where on), but when I pressed the gas pedal, the engine started to run again (it is automatic), second time, the engine died, when rolling during traffic, had to restart the car. The next morning, turned the key, and the panel would not even turn on, as if battery died. Anyone know if those two things are related, and what could be wrong with the car. It has about 160k. People told me, it could be bad alternator, distributor, mass airflow sensor, 02 sensor, etc. Please help? Thanks in advance.
