A: I have a 03 maxima with the 3.5 v6 I believe the 02 maximas have them too.I had my plugs changed when I hit 100,000 miles.The spark plugs Nissan puts there are the top of the line ones that will last you that long with no problem if you take care of the car.To help them last you should put 93 octane gas in the car believe me its worth it I get about 25.6 mpg in the city.This will also help your plugs and fuel injectors run cleaner.Well when I had mine done it cost me if I remember correctly about almost $200. The reason that its kinda costly is because on the 3.5v6 3 of the plugs are under the manifold of the car so the manifold has to be removed at least that's the way it seem to me and what I was told too.Well hope this helps and what ever you do get the good plugs trust me its worth it.

A: Hey, I was in your shoes for a while but i decided to just get a new head unit that had the front jack for the mp3 player to plug in. There is a way to do it, but no one would recommend it, it would require buying a few electronics stuff and having a little know how with the electrical system in your car. aside from that there is no possible way without using an FM transmitter or deck adapter. Like i said it IS possible but it wouldn't be very high quality and could be destructive if you went into your dash without know what you where doing.

A: There are no specific site you can access to perform the swap HID's have transformers for the low beams that need to be wired hot and ground and high beams tungsten bulbs hot and ground then parking lights too. Now are you sure the bumper and front grill and hood are the same? In other words will the new headlight assembly fit and not look like heck? And you realise those lights are the target of thiefs.

Q: how much does it cost to replace an oxygen sensor for a nissan maxima 2002?
i just want to know if i got ripped off. my nissan maxima 2002's (78kmiles)check engine light came on. took to a local shop first time because of proximity. the jr. mechanic couldnt figure out if it was cat convertor or 02 sensors. he turned light off and asked me to come back in 1 week to see sr. mechanic (owner). charged $109 for diagnositic check. the light came on in 4 days and brought back to shop. the sr. mechanic said he would recommend replacing 4 O2 sensors. parts $200 each O2 sensor and labor $188. what do you think? i have a feeling i got taken.

A: Why on earth would he need to replace all 4? Failure of all four sensors just NEVER happens! Maxima's do have a problem with failure of the downstream sensors and replacement also requires re-programming the PCM, but this is done only if specific conditions are met (there is a TSB on this issue and I would need to know what codes were pulled) and can only be done at the dealer. Personally, my guess is there was nothing wrong with the O2 sensors, or certainly not all of them and they were clutching at straws over a problem that was beyond their abilities/tools. I guess the big question is, did this fix the problem? Parts and labor is about right if it did.

I want to put a subwoofer in my 2002 Nissan Maxima but I don't want put a box in the trunk that blocks the trunk/rear seat entry way. I have seen subwoofer enclosures that install on the side of the trunk flush with the trunk door therefore maximizing the trunk space for the Altima. I would want something that is a sleek as that or something similar that would not block the rear of the trunk.

Hi all, I am planning to buy a Used Nissan Maxima which may be 2002 - 2004 year model. How would be the fuel consumption as in what mpg ? It is a an expensive car to maintain? what could be possible expenses on this car? I do not want to buy a camry as Nissan looks better and has good interiors. I do not mind 9 kms / litre. Can any one give any good suggetions. 10 points for a good answer.

A: i got 25 to 29 mpg with my 2002 in the pic. cheap to maintain, brakes every 80,000 miles, plugs every 105,000 miles, no fuel filter, took the cabin filter out... wish i had not got rid of it for a stupid azz pickup.
