Q: Why is MPG on my Nissan Murano getting worse?
When I bought my 2007 Nissan Murano last summer I was getting 24 miles per gallon. Mileage keeps getting worse. It's down to 20 MPG now. The dealer's service department manager said they couldn't do anything about it except check for leaks. I use that expensive super unleaded gas, as recommended. Anyone else had this problems and fixed it?
A: change the air filter
Many people forget this very simple fix for poor gas mileage.
Also, you might change the spark plugs
Q: Will a 2007 Nissan Murano run perfectly well on rugular unleaded as opposed to premium unleaded fuel?
A: Yes, it is rated for 87 octane, so anything above is wasting your money.
Q: Is the 2007 Nissan Murano a good choice??
I am buying a car this month and this is the one I've chosen. I want opinions, esp from anyone whos driven or owned one! Thanks.
A: My wife drives a 2006 Nissan Murano. Excellent vehicle with the BEST residual value of anything on the Nissan lot. That means you get a great resale of the vehicle.
It is built completely in Japan, which means you've got great fit and finish on the vehicle. Well equipped, very comfortable.
It is a crossover SUV, which combines the comfort of a car ride, but the elevated visibility of an SUV. It's a great vehicle and one that I'm confident you will enjoy. My wife loves hers.
Currently, if you are purchasing, there is $1,500 back in rebate money. There is special financing available in lieu of the $1,500. If you wanted to lease the vehicle, this is another excellent choice. Great lease on these vehicles.
You've got my approval of this vehicle. My wife loves hers.
P.S. You had asked when the 2009 Muranos were coming out. They should be available in January of 2008. There will be NO 2008 model. You can check some spyshots of the next generation. Happy shopping!

Q: Which one is better a 2007 Nissan Murano or 2007 GMC Yukon Denali?
I am looking at both but can't decide would like to hear from owners of either or car and get some pros/cons for each car. To help me make my decision. Thanks to all who help....
A: As a former Nissan Salesman Im going to have to vote for the Nissan :)
Pros: chainbelt driven engine (not a belt driven like most cars) so the next tuneup would be at 60,000 miles. Easily accessible to get in and out of. The vq35 engine is a v6 so power is at your fingertips.
The engine is the same engine in the Maxima, and the 350z. The vq engine has been around for at least 15years so Nissan knows what their doing and parts are easily findable if anything breaks. The engine now has something called Continuasly Variable Transmission(CVT for short) When you accellerate in an automatic and say you are going 50, you push in the pedel and you can feel the car jump as its shifting gears. What CVT does is eliminate that jump which is better on the transmission and the engine itself.
Front airbags and even airbags in the pillers of the doors. You have 3 models to choose from the S,SE and the LE The S the the base model Nissan for all the models. The SE is the sportier model, the engine is still the same but they tighten the suspension just a bit. The LE comes standard with leather.
Q: Can I get the chrome roof rails installed on my 2007 Nissan Murano SL at the dealership?
If so, roughly how much? Has anyone gotten these installed after they bought the car? I am referring to the Chrome roof rails that come standard on the SE model.
Thanks!
A: well they would charge you around $20-$40 an hour
so thats about how much
Q: I have a 2007 Nissan Murano and I would like to find out if anyone knows how to activate navigation system?
A: Look in the owners manual.
Q: Which 2007 Nissan Murano's have the push button start?
A: The Murano didn't have push button start till the 09 came out. They didn't make the Murano in 08.
Q: Should I buy a 2007 Nissan Murano with 43K miles?
I am looking at buying a 2007 Nissan Murano SUV for 16,900. It has (among others) heated leather seats, a moon roof, rear view camera, Bose stereo, and 6 disc CD changer but it also comes with 43K miles. My husband and I are debating whether the miles out weight the other benefits. I say yes - he says no.
Please help
Thanks
A: It's a decent deal. Just be sure you like this type of vehicle, and really need the room. The miles shouldn't scare you, as Nissans are very reliable with proper maintenance. Happy motoring!
Q: Do I need to "break in" my 2007 Nissan Murano Engine?
I just got a 2007 Nissan Murano SL AWD. I love it so far. Ride is amazing....and incredibly quick pickup. I now have 300 miles on it. I was planning on driving it to Tahoe this weekend, which is about 200 miles away, up and over a mountain pass. Its all fast freeway, but should I be "gentle" on the drive, or can I have a little fun and drive it a little faster. Is the "1000 mile break in" rule recommended for the 2007 Murano?
A: Actually, please read this article about breaking in an engine.
http://www.mototuneusa.com/break_in_secrets.htm
Different materials are used in new engines. The older train of thought of how to break in an engine was based on engines made from cast iron. Engine technology and materials have changed, but the though process of how to break in an engine hasn't. It needs to, because the materials engines are made from has changed.
Q: How do i manualy scan the sirius channels on my 2007 Nissan Murano?
I installed the factory sirius module in my 2007 Nissan Murano SE. I was able to scan each channel with the steering wheel controls. But when I added presets it only goes to that preset. Is there a way to have it go through each channel?
A: As far as I know, the steering wheel controls will just do the presets. You have to use the tuning knob on the head unit itself to scan each channel.
