Q: Can a 1994 or a 1995 Nissan Pathfinder go 170mph?
A: No it has to much frontal area and not enough motor torque. Speed over 115 miles an hour would be extremely dangerous because light truck tires are to thick and heavy to handle the heat generated at high speed. 1994 truck is 14 years old. Steering ans suspension slack wear will make it unstable and high center of gravity if you loose control at high speed rolling that beast no one will come out alive.
Q: Nissan Pathfinder 1994 water problem
Ok im not very intelligent with the whole car subject but i have been having a problem for a while with the car. Every time I get a car wash or go through a puddle my car starts to shudder and does not run smooth for the following few days. I know that you are not suppose to get water in the engine but it should be able to withstand the public car wash. Im guessing it has something to do with the spark plugs but is there anyone that knows why its doing this and if there is any way to remedy this situation.
A: What I'd do is run it through the car wash or use a lawn hose on the car , later open the hood and look for wet spots.Common problem is the spark plug wires or the ignition coil gets wet and this causes the engine to run funny etc.But a bad set of sparkplug wires or sparkplugs wires that are leaking can cause this too or a plug that connects to a sensor etc is getting wet.
The problem is that water could be getting into the engine area via under the vehicle too and you must look underneath the vehicle to see if any wiring or connections are getting wet.
Just say you just washed it and once out of car wash u opened hood saw the spark plug wires were wet. There is a special anti-moister etc jell that is applied to the sparkplug wire rubber ends to spot moister from getting into the system.
One simple test you could do is pop off one by one each spark plug wire going to the ignition coil.If you notice that any of the connectors on the coil are rusty or corroded that would tell you that in fact water or moister is getting into that the connection.
I'd try that first off see if the connections are rusty etc but be sure you only check one by one and pop them back on right.
Hope that helps and best of luck.By the way remember look for the wet spots or areas and especially for wet wires or wet plug in connectors. If you find some plug in connector is wet , and the car is acting up , try disconnecting the plug and cleaning and drying the contacts and then restarting vehicle and seeing if engine is back to normal.Basically by doing this adventually you'll end up finding what it is that is getting wet and causing this problem.Just remember that some wires and harness's etc are underneath the car and if using a lawn hose be sure you wet underneath the car too.

Q: 1994 Nissan Pathfinder Question....?
Does anyone know the recommended fuel grade for a 1994 Nissan Pathfinder?
A: its regular unleaded nothing special
Q: What's better: 1994 Nissan Pathfinder or 1994 Jeep Cheroke?
A: Pathfinder. Nissan is a better brand. Jeeps are horrible with reliability comparatively.
Q: 1994 nissan pathfinder no midrange power?
I changed the intake and injectors on my 94 nissan which improved the performance 90%,, it has lots of power in 1st and 2nd, but when it shifts into drive,, it bogs down,, till you get up to 60plus and is in overdrive.. after that if you go to pass and it kicks down it has plenty of power, its just from 35to 60 it has nothing any ideas on what the problem might be? thanks for any help
A: did you get all the vacuum lines put back in place? like the fuel pressure regulator?
Q: 1994 nissan pathfinder stalling?
94 nissan pathfinder...starts up...drives good..no check engine light. after 10 or so min. idle fluctuates 0-1-0-1 rpm stalls most of time but starts back up as if nothing was wrong and stalls again.......really rough idle at time others great...sometimes it doesnt happen at all for day or two.please help
A: Same problem in one of my other vehicles. You might need a valve adjustment, or your wiring harness my be bad. Check those out first, if it still a problem you might have some bad sensors.
Q: 1994 nissan pathfinder engine skipping badly?
my engine is skipping badly but only when it is hot. for example: if i drive for an hour with no stops everything is ok. if i drive for 45 min stop and get gas then try to go again once engine gets to 1500 rpm it begins to skip badly and will not go over 1500-2000 rpm at all untill engine cools some then it runs fine
A: sometimes the coils work good when cold but when it gets hot it breaks down and you get a weak spark. Check the voltage at the plug when hot vs cold. If this the case then buy a new coil. How old are the plug wires or spark plugs for that matter. Wires should be changed every 100,000 miles and plugs depending on quality. but even the best should be changed at 100,000 miles.
Q: Nissan Pathfinder (1994) Does anyone know where the "turn signal" wires run through the vehicle?
I need to know exactly where the wires go, example: under drivers seat to back hatch, or in the ceiling, etc. Thanks!
A: Down the column through the firewall in a big loom.
Q: how do i remove the tight, don't want to pry and bust them, speaker covers on my 1994 nissan pathfinder?
A: If you are talking about the ones in the rear roof, just be careful, use a putty knife. They will pry off. Find where the plastic tabs are that hold it on with the putty knife and push them in. Also, if you want to put most 5x7 speakers there, you may have to cut some metal. A dremel works the best.
Q: Nissan Pathfinder 1994 Speaker Questions?
I was wondering several things about the stock speakers in a 1994 Nissan Pathfinder SE:
1. The size of the speakers mounted on the driver and passenger doors?
2. The size of the speakers mounted in the ceiling of the rear of the car?
3. The size of the amplifier located directly under the stereo system?
4. Is it possible to fit a 6.5 x 6.5 in the socket of a 5 x 7, provided I do a little bit of cutting?
Thanks in advance for any answers (any and all).
A: looks like 5x7 for the doors.
http://forums.nicoclub.com/zerothread/12043
And the rear pillars are 6.5's.

And yes you should be able to cut or mold your own if you have the technical skills to do so. I had 9" woofers put into my door panels...had to have them fabricate door panels! But looks good sounds great...
As far as amplifiers go...not sure...
You might need something like this tho:

Q: stalling problems with 1994 nissan pathfinder?
my pathfinder is stalling, but only when i come to a stop. After it stalls at stops, it will start right back up and run again, but only til I stop again......What could cause this?
A: No check engine light? Transmission problem can stall an engine. Bad brake booster can cause a vacuum leak and cause stalling rough idle. E-mail me if you have any other facts that have come to mind.
Q: Wondering if anyone knew if you could install a remote keyless entry into a 1994 Nissan Pathfinder.?
I rencently just bought a 1994 Nissan Pathfinder and it does not have Remote Keyless Entry, i was wondering if anyone that works on cars or knew anything about cars could tell me, if i could install a Keyless Entry Kit to the car.
If I can does it matter what kind of kit I get, or is there a specfic one that i need to look at.
I was kinda going for the Remote Start, could a 94 model handle that.
Also where could i get it done at, at Best Buy, Curcuit City, or local store or mechanic.
Thanks
A: If you have the electric door locks now, then it is no big deal. You can either get just a keyless entry or an alarm system or a remote start, and finally, the remote starter with an alarm.
You could go to either a local store, or you can call a dealership, they have someone who will install these things on new cars. When I had mine put in, the place that did it, was installing options for all kinds of dealers, I saw Fords, Mercury's, Dodges, Plymouths, Caddy's, MB's. So I know they are going to be around for a while and will do a good job.
Q: My 1994 Nissan Pathfinder wont start. It doesnt turn over or anything. The windows dont roll down or anything?
the only thing that happens is the light for the millage comes on. New starter I was told and new battery.
A: Check for a bad fusible link- it is a blowout wire that is designed to melt down in an emergency to save your car from electrical fire. It is a parallel wire adjacent to your 12V positve wire coming from the battery.
