Q: i heard its expensive to insure a 2001 nissan pathfinder? clean driving record since i had license?

A: My friend has a 2006 pathfinder, brand new, full coverage, and his insurance isn't much more than his former car, a 2000 oldsmobile (will full coverage). I can't imagine a 2001 would be proportionally different than the 2006. You should be fine.

A: i own a repair shop,,and this one has to be turned off with a scanner or code reader,,they should have turned it off while they had t in to repair it,,you may have to have it re-scanned it may still have a minor problem causing it to come back on,,have them clear it off,and see if it comes back on,,good luck,i hope this help,s.

A: The problem with replacing the radio and still using the steering wheel controls is finding one compatible with your vehicles system. My friend had the same problem with his Jeep Grand Cherokee. Q: My power windows on my 2001 nissan pathfinder are very very slow when using them. How can i fix them?
The back windows go down an dont go back up an one of them dont even go down. They are extremly slow when comin up all of them? Anyone know whats wrong an how to fix it?

A: The problem is like the rest of the power windows....... First thing what happens is the window regulator gets loose which causes the window channel not to be straight,which causes the window to come up or go down slow. You need to remove the door panel and the plastic cover that is protecting the window glass.Check all of the small bolts using a 10mm end wrench or a socket.If they are all tight check the window regulator for movement it should not move at all. Get some WD40 and spray the window channel from top to bottom.This should take care of the problem. If not you may have some power switches that are bad,however 99% of the time its one of the things you just did.

Q: The dash clock has gone out on my 2001 Nissan Pathfinder?
All other dash lights appear to be working fine. I looked at the fuse box and it doesn't appear there is a dedicated fuse just for the clock. Could it be a fuse?

A: Dash clock is rear illuminated by the same power supply that lights the radio and dash lights. Only 4 wires running to the clock. either find a working clock to put in or next time at the dealership have it replaced. Or ignore clock and look at the cell phone for time. Replace the audio unit with one with clock XM radio and Blue tooth.

A: Unitized body structure no frame under the truck. Try Rancho Suspension and Old Man Emu. rear Suspension is axle spacers. Front suspension may require lots more parts. Subframe extensions control arms longer struts I hope your doing this to a four wheel drive? And have several thousands to spend. Hey have you seen the 5.6 liter V-8 powered 2008 Pathfinder yet? over 306 hp it really gets it. And the 2005 and up Pathfinders have real frames underneath.

The brake lights work fine .there is no way of identifying fuses from the manuel.there is one large fuse under the hood marked tail lights could that be the problem?or what should i look for?

A: The dash and tail lights are generally on the same fuse so that you'll notice something when the tail lights go out. Try changing the fuse marked tail lights. If it blows again start looking for a short.

A: Pathfinders carry decent resale value, so $8990 is actually not that bad for the mileage. 74K for a 7-yr old vehicle is pretty good. Offer them $7500 and work your way up in small increments. And keep on the lookout, especially if you're serious about an SUV, because they are dropping in price like crazy lately.

I am trying to change ignition coils and need to remove the wiring harness on the passenger side to get to them. I push in the green tab and then how do I disconnect?

A: try pushing and pulling the tab...it should just pull out...keep in mind it hasnt been disconnected for 7 years.

Hey, I have a 2001 nissan pathfinder with the "premium" crappy bose audio system. it misses most if not all of the lower frequencies. I would like to add a sub and amp, but i have heard that the bose sound system runs at 1 ohm and i dont know how to get around it without tearing out everything, Which i really want to avoid. Any kind of experiance or advice would be greatly apreciated.

A: Baloney... You can change anything in that system without a problem. If you just change the head unit, get a Bose adapter to wire it. The head unit doesn't even interact with the Bose speakers because the Bose amps do that. If you want to add a different sub, just wire a high-to-low adapter to the system and connect to an amp and subwoofer. I have done hundreds of vehicles with Bose systems.
