i have a 2001 nissan pathfinder 4x4 and i want to save a lot of money an go to a junker and pull a tow hitch off of it. can models from 1996 to 1999 fit the pathfinder i have? the only thing that looks like it been change is the body and lights but the structure should be the same right?

A: it should line up ok, just verify part #for what ever year you get one from to yours

A: You would most likely need a body lift...around 4 to 6 inches.......or go to custom shop and cut the sides of all your fenders just enough so the rims wont rub.....

A: I don't know about pathfinders in general, but i know that nissans are great vehicles. i drive am x-terra a lot of the time and it never has given me a problem at all. i highly recommend any nissan.

Q: 2004 Nissan Pathfinder Stereo System?
I have a 2004 Nissan Pathfinder and am looking to put a good system in there. I have been looking at JL subs, but don't know anything about them or how big I need. I am never going to be blasting it to full power. I just want it to sound good and hit pretty hard. I am looking to spend a max of $600 including an amp. Is this to little? Someone recommended kicker L7's are these good?

A: yes kickers are very good sub woofers and i would recommend a power full enough amp to power them with power left to spare. Depends on the sub woofer that determans amp size. the bigger the sub woofer the bigger the amp. 2 channel would be the best as far as amps are concerned, 4 channel if possible. 800 or better amp will do nicely. but remember 1 thing the more u spend the better you will get so check out all end s before buying"if possible listen to the subs and amps to tell what is best"

A: There is a bottom cover under the motor that covers the oil filter location. Then you have toi dispose of 6 qts of oil and filter. Just take it to Wal-Mart or Nissan Dealer for $30.00

Q: How to replace window motor for 2004 nissan pathfinder??


A: If I knew which window motor? these instructions are for the drvers side front window. I do not replace very many motors lots more switches, however just like most windows remove the door trim remove the two bolts holding the glass to the window lift. lift the glass out of the door. unbolt the regulator (lift) unplug the motor excahnge the motor with a new one. Auto down and anti pinch is part of many pathfinders so the window reset procedure is hold the dome light switch in second person really helps, plug in the master window switch. or remove the door switch temporarly. Using the window down switch in the non automatic mode lower the window on the new window motor with the door trim still off push that black rubber button inward and non automatically lift the window all the way up. this should reset the auto up feature. Good Luck. I bet if you ask nice Nissan would replace the necessary parts for free. Nissan Good Will is to keep customers comming back.

A: usually, the window crank/power window assembly is one piece either held by a retainer/or with saftey tabs. Pull these out, unscrew the door handles, and with a upholstry retaining tool (or what I use is a smooth/new flat head screw driver to pry around the int paneling til the inside skin is exposed. detach any wires that are i the way and remove panel. But...Always place your screws in one place "out of the way". and always look and recall what you have done because sometimes, it is easier to take apart as opposed to put together again.
