I already Know that the previous Pathfinder's are virtually bulletproof but i want to know if the story goes the same for the newer 2005-2007 models.

A: remove the unit and look for a loop harness which bypasses the radio harnss and is used for ipod ect.. disguard this harness and plug the original wiring back into the unit. there is no seperate fuse the only other thing is that wires to all speakers are open which is highly unlikey.

A: Up to 7500 lbs of towing is what you can do. Trailer wiring harness and relays need to be added to make trailer lights work. Best I can say is visit your Nissan Dealer. The two realys are needed on a jumper harness in the trailer kit under the passengers side kick panel and trailer harness plugs in above the rear tow hook left rear under the truck. If you start serious towing you might invest in attitional transmission cooler added ahead of the radatior. And for towing maxium weight add a electric brake control.

Q: 2005 Nissan Pathfinder fuel level sensor A?
My engine light came on and i did a diagnostic test. It revealed a fuel level sensor. Is this something I can fix without draining and dropping the fuel tank out. I know its only a $10 part, i would rather fix it my self than paying a $50 deductable to Nissan and have them fix it. Any explination on how to fix this? Thanks!!

A: Please let the professionals do this one because you do not have the sending unit wrench and you also do not want to drop the tank until you have less than 1/4 tank. Trust me Nissan Technician is only making 1.3 hours to do the entire job. Sending unit and Packing O ring and you have to be very careful with the fuel outlets.

It makes this sound until it is driven for a while. Should I replace belts? It has 50,000 miles on it

A: belts might be slightly loose. or they have glazing on them. take a look at the edges, they shouldn't be cracked or splitting... since they're only a couple yrs old, they should be fine. tightening belts is pretty simple if you've got a manual. you won't need special tools either.

A: It is a minor problem there are mount spacers to go between the rear exhaust hanger and that keep the muffler from hitting the underside of the floor Bulliten number NTB 05-054 titled Rumble Rattle or Bang noise from rear carring passengers.

Q: How do you turn off you hazard lights on a 2005 Nissan pathfinder, the triangle button does not work.?


A: If the button won't turn the lights off you can either take the flasher unit out or the fuse. If the fuse runs more than the hazard lights you may want to take the flasher unit out. It is usually up under the dash and is usually a round silver thing about 1 inch in diameter and if the flashers are still going you can feel it ticking as well as hear it. Just pull it out. There are 2 of these flashers the other is for the turn signals. You have to pull the one that is ticking. Later you can check into why the button stopped working. Good luck.

A: Need more info, what submodel? SE or LE? 2 or 4WD drive? Mileage? 3 year old SE 4WD with average 36 k miles would be worth about 14-17 k trade in. You have to take in consideration if new tires/painting/repairs need to be made you would be on the low end. Same car with 60k miles is worth roughly 11-14k trade in. What is owed is immaterial sadly to what the value of the trade in is. They will not pay more if a vehicle was purchased previously with a negative equity trade in or no down payment.
