Q: how to add ac to nissan sentra 1994?
My husband added 134a refrigerant to our quest already but when he went to his 1994 sentra he told me that this car needs to be done at the dealer. My question is that true, does a nissan sentra 1994 need to brought to the dealer for more ac or this is a car that can be done at home? If it is a home job, is it done like the quest, just add more 134a or something else. He just got this old car about a month ago and has never added ac to it.
My husband has been to the auto store and four of the associates tried, three different kits and told him that he has to go to dealer. The senior associate told him any sentra made before 1995 has to done at the dealer. I just wanted some outside opinions.
A: Refrigerant R-134 is used in a 1994 sentra what is the problem? He should however use a gauge manifold to see what the pressures are doing. At the dealer we recover weigh and vacuum down the system after repair and then refill with R-134 that car takes less than 2 pounds
Q: Why does my mini-van suddenly turn off when I slow down?
I have a 1994 Nissan Quest minivan, and it just shuts down occasionally when I brake. It may happen from 2-5 times a day, but many days it's just fine.
Any idea what could be the problem?

Q: Is it a good idea to change my original struts, coil spring, and mounts on my 1995 Nissan Quest XE? ?
My 1995 Nissan Quest currently still has the same original struts, coil spring, and mounts for 14 years already (I bought my quest in 1994 as a 1995 year model). My 95 quest currently has about 98,500. Every time I turn in to an intersection or i pull into my driveway or if i go through a speed bumb i hear some time of squeaky noises.
Please someone tell me if i have to change my struts.
oh and one more thing which brand of struts should i get monroe or gabriel? Which brand is better?
A: They the factory will say yes.But if your front end does not sag,springs are good,if the front end does not bounce more than once when bouncing it by hand,then the shocks are good ,plus if there is no signs of a leak .But the squeak could be the mounts,not only of the struts,but also check the lower control arm,any sway bar bushings they could be worn.Plus check out the upper and lower ball joints,tie rod ends for play..If you do not have a shimmy then there is a good chance the joints and tie rods are good,,But check it out any way...Both are good brands I prefer Monroe

I have a minivan (1994 Nissan Quest), and will use it most of the time with the middle bench seat removed to have more space in the back. I will use this middle bench seat as a couch in my dorm room. It is a little over three feet wide and about 2 1/2 feet tall. It is designed to seat two people, and has an adjustable tilting back. I am looking for something to cover it with, preferably removable, that would look pretty cool. Please give me any suggestions or ideas you can think of, and the more creative, the better!

When the thing shifts it's very hard and it doesn't seem to go into overdrive...I've checked the on board diagnostics and there are no stored codes in the computer....I've changed the filter and fluid......help!!
A: check for disconected vacum lines/hoses in the engine compartment and down on the tranny.the things can pop off from time to time.also check for disconnected wiring harnesses.you never know you might be surprised

A: Check the "fuse". You may have busted fuse. Refer to your manual.

A: I used to live in Greeneville, myself. I know there are some salvage yards out there, just look them up in your local phonebook. As for the color matching... You may be up the creek so to say. It's hard to find the exact match, however it really isn't that expensive to have a fender painted. You can also try http://www.car-part.com They don't show pictures of the parts but they sometimes tell you the color, and give you numbers where you can reach the sellers.
Q: 1994 nissan quest gear problems?
my parents own a nissan quest. the problem is that when you hit the gas and change to next gear the it slams or a bumps. also when gear to the second the rpm is high. it doesnt shift well but the other gears are fine.
A: Ok I'm gonna Guess from what you typed it's a Manual Transmision. It might be a bad motor or transmision mount. With a bad mount it Shifts the Transmision forwards and backwards depending on RPMs. Which Misaligns your Shift linkage. Get some one to help you and Check to see if your motor and or Transmision rocks more than about an 1/8 of an inch when you Rev it up out of gear. If so check your mounts and replace the bad ones.
Q: Does anyone know how to completely take out the back seat from a 1994 Nissan Quest GXE?
I really need to find out ASAP and cant seem to find out how to do this online. If you have this van or know how to take it out I would greatly appreciate some instructions.
I know how to take out the smaller two passenger seat. I just need to know how to remove the last big seat in the back (the 3passenger one).

A: I worked for Nissan and owned a 94 Quest for 200k miles. The third row seat was not designed to be removed. Rather the Quest Trac system will slide the third row seat all the way up to the back of the front (driver) seat. You only loose about a foot of space this way. If you really need that last foot, a bit of patience and with some tools, it can be removed. I wouldn't do it unless it was the last choice. Good luck!

Q: What is making my 1994 Nissan Quest oil pressure light flicker?
My van stalled out completely this morning (and all the check engine lights, etc. came on). I was able to restart the van and drive home, but the oil pressure light kept flickering as I drove into my garage. I'm very worried about another complete stall-out. Any ideas on what this could be?
I have plenty of oil, but I guess I'll have to check about the pump, hm?
A: are you out of oil, , did you check that? if the light is flashing its probably letting you know "hey , i need oil or im gunna die" , id look into that if i was you
