Q: 1995 Nissan Quest Nearing 200,000 Miles?
I have a 1995 Nissan Quest XE with 192,000 miles. Original engine and transmission. One owner and only regular maintenance has ever been done: water pump, timing belt, spark plugs, distributor cap, etc. Normal city and highway driving and have not seen winter in past four years and still drives great. I'm planning on a new set tires for my van, basic $45 tires. My question is because my van has almost 200,000 miles, is it nearing the end of it's life and not worth new tires but used tires instead? And at 200K what are some things I should look out for? Also, what's your highest mileage vehicle and how did it ended? or is it still going?

A: I have a 91 acura integra with 250,000 and it's still strong and FAST,I only buy new tires,my life is worth the money!

Q: Can someone tell me usually where is the motor located for the rear wiper of my Nissan Quest 1995?
Is it in the back?

A: It's going to be very close to the wiper blade. Look for a bump-out in the interior or exterior panel. You will be removing the interior panel to access this equipment.

Q: Can I make a Nissan Quest 1995 XE manual windows and manual locks to power windows and power locks?
If possible do you have and idea how much it cost?

A: you can but it may be more trouble than its worth. you will need to see if the doors you have contain the mounting points for the components. if so you don't need to buy new doors. then you will need the glass, window motors, the "track" and cables that move the window, the actuators and cables for the locking mechanism, the interior door panels that contain the mounting points for the window and lock switches, and finally the portion of the wiring harness to activate they two systems to include the connectors both male and female, electrical tape zip ties conduit covers and lots of time an patience, good luck. you may need to check on that glass sometimes the bracket mounting hole are in different positions from manual to powered windows and drilling new holes in safety glass is a pain

Q: Can I turn my 1995 Nissan Quest XE Manual locks to power locks?

Q: 1995 Nissan Quest Back Up Lights Fuse?
My 1995 Nissan Quest back up lights won't lit in reverse. I have check the bulbs and ground on both socket and it's good. "AllData" wedsite shows a fuse in the diagram but I can't find the fuse anywhere. It's not under the dash or in the engine compartment. Dose anyone know where's the fuse is and what might also cause this problem? My license plate lights and defroster works, and no light hatch. And which fuse box is it in?

A: Yes the fuse in the fuse box 10 amp. Let's see "the back up lights" they are on the hatch I would check the wires where they are flexed everytime you open the hatch that rubber boot at the left side where the wires enter the body also there are 6 electrical plugs from the shifter switch to the back up light bulb. Also check all the other functions power lock licence plate lamps some hatches have opening glass. there are about 10 to 12 wires thru that rubber covering and if you pull the trim off the body D pillar you will have enough slack to work with the individual wires.

Q: Is it nessesary to change the oxygen sensor on a 1995 Nissan quest?
I never changed the oxygen sensor before is that bad?

A: I see this question asked on here a lot. It makes me wish I worked in a parts house. I would make a fortune selling oxygen sensors. Actually, you asked a very good question. Years ago (25 years plus) when oxygen sensors were first used regularly on vehicles, there was a suggested replacement mileage of about 75,000 miles. A little flag would come up on some instrument clusters that said "sensor" indicating the Oxygen sensor should be replaced. This was because the ECM used at that time had no real logic to alert a customer when the oxygen sensor had failed. It was a safe bet to replace them at a given mileage as a means to make sure it was still good at high mileage. Today's vehicles are equipped with good logic not only to turn on a check engine light, they can also capture the data to indicate what kind of failure has occurred. There are several types of oxygen sensor failures: Lean biased, rich biased, fixed center, internal heated failure are some examples of failures that can occur. The oxygen sensor on your Quest may never fail for the life of the vehicle. Or it could fail tomorrow. In any case there is no reason to replace it until then.

Q: How to fix a loose automatic transmission gear selector for 1995 Nissan Quest?
I just recently found out that when I shif my gear to drive, it actually goes into 2nd gear and Neutral if I put it in reverse. Sometimes it is in reverse when I put it to park. I think something is loose but not sure how to find the problem. Any points are welcome.

A: have seen many times, you will need to get under the dash to see shifter at back of column, the likage that comes of the back will have 2 torx bolts that have probably came loose (t27 torx) if i remember right. use a light and move shifter(with brake applied) and you should be able to see what i mean

Q: how to check 1995 Nissan Quest fuel pressure?
I suspect that the fuel pressure on my 1995 Nissan Quest is low because it is hard to start in a cold morning, have to turn on the key and wait until fuel pump stops before I can start. The check engine light also comes on when I go uphills and then goes off once I am level. I can also hear it pinging. Can anyone tell me how to measure the fuel pressure for this car? Thanks.

A: have done alot of fuel pumps due to bad check valves, not a pressure issue driving but loses pressure when shut off, not likely to cause engine light though, have code checked could be egr system if pinging. would recc pump for hard starting

Q: Can a headlight from a Nissan Quest 1998 Headlight fit in a 1995 Nissan quest?
I want to make a my Nissan Quest 1995 Headlights Clear.

A: The Nissan Quest was the same from 1993 to 1998, so the headlights should be interchangeable. Also, the Mercury Villager is the same vehicle, completely identical, so the same style of vans can share parts. The Ford dealer might be a little cheaper than a Nissan dealer for parts.
