Q: 1999 Nissan Quest - No turn signal flasher?
Our hazard lights work. Our right and left turn signals do not. DH said he checked the fuse and it seems to be fine. Bulbs appear to be fine also.

A: I fixed a nearly identical problem in an '83 Mercedes a few months ago. If the car has only one flasher relay and the hazard lights work the problem is not in the flasher relay. Try to find the multi-pin connector that connects the turn signal switch to the rest of the wiring. You may have to remove a plastic shroud around the steering column, and to do that you may have to remove the steering wheel. It just depends on the way things are put together. Either the multi-pin connector is loose or dirty (I've had that with two different cars now) or the turn signal switch is worn out or needs cleaning and I've had that several times with one car.

Q: why is my Nissan quest 1999 make a squeaking noise when i turn my steering wheel?

A: If it is makeing a squeaking noise you a probably low on power steering fluid check under your hood for the power steering resivor and see how low it is. If its a popping noise then your CV axel is going bad.

Q: 1999 Nissan Quest Fan Belt?
I had the belt break on my van today...its the belt that is visible when you lift the hood and runs around all the pulleys. Any one have any idea what it would cost to repair this? With it being Christmas, I am not prepared for an expensive repair. The vehicle had been running loud the last few days, and today it made a screeching sound followed by quiet and a burning smell. Ack! Any info greatly appreciated!

A: a pulley locked up and burned the belt off. you need a belt and the idler and/or tensioner pulleys. $100-150. plus a tow bill. the alt, power steering, and water pump all run off of this belt. DO NOT DRIVE IT!!! you should always have a noise checked out before the vehicle breaks down. the loud noise was the pulley warning you of eminent destruction

Q: how to replace nissan quest 1999 valve cover gasket?

Q: 1999 Nissan Quest.....engine dies, sputters, and knocks!?
My Quest minivan is sputtering, choking out, and knocking. When I get it started, it won't go over 5 miles an hour, and then it sputters and chokes out. I had it in the shop, and they replaced something in the cam, but this didn't do the trick. Any ideas what it could be?

A: It could be many things, first of all I hope you took it to a reputable repair facility that stands behind their diagnostics, in other words, if they mis-diagnose the car they fix whatever it is for free. If that is the case, then take it back, tell them you paid to have it diagnosed and repaired and it's doing the same thing. Any reputable repair facility would be happy to look it over and reimburse you for their mis diagnosis parts and labor and apply it to what is really wrong, good luck.

Q: Where is the spare tire stored on a 1999 Nissan Quest Van?

A: The owner's manual should tell you that. And it's probably onilne if you don't have it.

Q: 1999 nissan quest v6 3.3L 140k miles auotmatic?
I have a 1999 nissan quest v6 3.3L 140k miles auotmatic. I was driving on the highway and the car started to miss a little and then it died out when I got to the side of the road. I pulled over and checked everything out and everything looked good so I started driving again and I got just a little bit down the road and it died out again. Now this time it wouldnt start. So i got the car towed to my house. The next day I started the car and let it idle and it turned off after 10 minutes. I tried the next day and it also tuned off after idling for 10 minutes. The only issues I notice with the car is a squeaky belet and I know of the stabilizer belts are bad. The only things I had to do in the past year is change the alternator. I do have a check engine light and got the following codes. P0110 Intake Air Temperature Sensor P0325 P0340 P0731 P1336 Any ideas whats going on or what to check for?

A: you can go to AutoZone to get what those codes are.

Q: where is the knock sensor located on a 1999 nissan quest and how to repair?

A: It is under the intake manifold, in the valley of the engine between the cylinder heads. The intake manifold will need to be removed.

Q: 1999 Nissan Quest with misfire on cylinder #1.?
We have a 1999 Nissan Quest at 63K miles with a "Service engine soon" dash-light. The PCM reads "Cyl.1 misfire". Replaced plugs, plug-wires, distributor cap & rotor yeilding a slight improvement, but is still misfiring. Should I replace the the ignition coil(s) and if so where is it?

A: Coil is inside the distributor. But I have replaces lots of injectors lately. Seems that 10 to 15% ethanol misture is killing off the over 10 year old fuel injectors. #1 #3 #5 injectors are under the intake manifold plenum and all should be replaced. The #2,#4,#6 injectors are easy to change do them one at a time.

Q: how much is the labor cost to replace knock sensor in 1999 nissan quest?

A: the labor itself should be fairly cheap... it's no more than an hour's job.... the part might be around 100 bucks though... it's just a senser that tells the computer how the engine is moving according to specs... haha pretty dumb it's just another part to go out. doesnt really affect anything except for making the check engine warning light come on....you could probably get a maintainance book and the part from an auto-parts store and do it yourself...

Q: 1999 Nissan Quest Keyless Entry Problems?
My wife has a 99 Nissan Quest GLE with a possessed keyless entry system. When the remote has a battery installed the system acts like it has been inhabited by a polterguist. The door locks continuosly open and shut. The system makes a clicking noise without activating the locks when the buttons are pressed. Door lock buttons inside the car (driver and passenger) don't work, manual locks are OK. Have to hit the driver's side manual lock to lock up the van. Can also use the key to lock the whole van. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

A: well disconnect and reconnect the wire did you tried that first? usally solves everything cause it resets the computer

Q: how expensive is it to fix a speed sensor in a 1999 Nissan Quest?
The speedometer works sparadically. It gets stuck on zero no matter how fast you are going and then the mileage does not record. The check engine light also went on after it turned 100,000 are these two things related????

A: hi there. that sensor should run about $80 plus labor.... but i doubt it is the sensor.....most sensors work or they are dead...not intermittent like your seems to be...it may be that your speedometer is bad.... the check engine light should be looked at by a mechanic. i hope this helps...Good Luck!

Q: How to fix a heater in the 1999 Nissan Quest van?
I've replaced the heater on my van every 2 yrs for some reason the control buttons only works on high. We are very carefull with this button as it is the 3 time we are replacing it. I taught I might do it myself if someone know how? How do you remove the front pannel to get to the heater?

A: First off there is the cup holder pull out and relaese it, two screws hidden there the two screws above the heater control out too pull off the face around the radio straight back. You don't have to completely remove the trim because the next four screws around the heater control are visable. This is where you will wish you have a good magnetic screwdriver so you won't drop the screws and hear them rolling around till the end of time. unplug, replug screw it back down snap the trim over the controls and radio put the 4 screws back in and 30 minutes you should be done. There is this big red wire in the circuit bord that melts. I have fixed but repair lasts even less time before it happens again.

Q: How can i change the Knock sensor in a 1999 Nissan Quest?
i know its somewhere near the intake manifold, but i have 2, which one do i remove? i think the engine is v6... is that an accurate size description? its a v6 with a 3.0 liter engine.

A: What size motor ? I work for nissan I can look it you for you in the manual
