Q: Which of these cars should i buy and why?(your opinion)?
I've found the following cars: 2005 hyundai sonata, 39k mil, $5000 (4cyl) 2001 Mazda tribute , 74k mil, $4500 (with a crack in the rear bumper cover, is it a serious damage ?) (6cyl) 2001 Nissan quest , 90k mil, $4000 (few bumps and dents)(6cyl) i know they all are , you could say bargains but i need to decide which one is better. one is a sedan , one is a SUV, and is a minivan. my max that i can pay is $5000 and i wanna consider the DMV's money and if anything goes wrong with the car so i could fix it. i know its a long reading but hold on... now im asking u which car u think its better and why? the factors to consider are: reliability, miles, price, BRAND (my father is crazy about brands he loves Japanese cars), car value, and whatever u think its worth considering when buying a used car they are all automatic thx for your time

A: Make sure to do your research on all of these by reading reviews online. otherwise you could end up like my mom who bought a 2003 dodge intrepid that needs a repair that costs TWICE as much as the car is worth. I believe out of those the mazda would be the best out of thoseeven though it has more miles on it. however when people talk about japanese reliability they are talking about honda and toyota. Hondas are legendary for reliability and performance. So are toyotas and toyotas are usually the easiet engines to work on. Hondas and Toyotas also hold their Value much longer than other cars so you can sell them for almost what you paid. Consider looking at

Q: my daughters accident.?
a semi-truck ran my daughter off the road and she flipped twice and ended up hitting a tree, the doctors said shes here today only because the seatbelt, my quest. is after totalling the car neither her or her passengers air bag went off, she has a 2005 nissan altima. does anyone know if they should of went off or not, the car is totalled. thank you. georgia

A: Without a reenactment of the accident scene, I would make the assumption that during the rollover, the car's electrical system failed. Probably the battery was torn loose from the cables. When she hit the tree there was no power to set off the airbags. Air bags have specific requirements to be set off and they do require electrical power to set them off. It is possible that in a side rollover that the sensors in the front bumper never detected a frontal crash. You are going to need an expert and a lot of testing to find the answer.

Q: Auto insurance....?
Which would be a higher premium 2005 Nissan Pathfinder or 2008 Nissan Quest? My insurance co is closed. I thought someone who works in auto insurance would know. I am not asking for a quote, I know that varies. However one will be higher than the other. Thanks

A: you need to ring the individual insurance companues for A QUOTE

Q: How is sales tax handled when dealing with the lemon law in Pennsylvania?
I have a 2005 nissan quest that is considered a lemon aunder the lemon las for a leak in the roof that has not fixed after 3 dealership attempts. The dealership has confirmed seeing the leak. They have offered me a 2006 quest with the same options but with a 66 month term instead of the original 60 month term and chargin me $568 in sales tax - a prorated amount they said. I have 13,000 miles on the lemon quest (that I bought) in Dec, 2004. Should I have to pay any sales tax on the 2006 quest and should I have to accept extending the payments by 6 months?

A: It doesn't sound right to me, but I would contact an attorney for some advice.

Q: what does is the nissan quest mpg?
were thinking about purchasing a 2005 nissan quest automatic.. does anyone know how much MPG's it gets. and what do u think about the van in general???

A: 17 MPG City--24 MPG Highway for manual transmission 16 MPG City---23MPG Highway for automatic transmission http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/bymodel/2005_Nissan_Quest.shtml

Q: What make is the DVD player in the 2005 Nissan Quest?
Need to make it region free for my kids to watch DVDs from Asia(PAL).

A: Not sure on the DVD player. Suggestion (if you own the DVDs)....why not just decrypt the DVDs and rewrite them with Nero. It will rewrite them to NTSC.

Q: My 2005 Nissan Quest is dying. All power shuts off then comes back after a few seconds. Help???
I will be driving along, then the power flickers for a second. Sometimes, the van won't start for a few minutes, then it will start. All power dies off, the radio memory is gone after each time. I recently replaced one of the headlight wiring harnesses, but can't see how that could cause it.

A: check your battery it should either be your terminals or the cables have a cut somewhere if your there is nothing wrong with the battery. or your ignition or spark plug setup is buggered get an approved nissan dealer to check it out if your car is still under warranty. Good Luck sorting it out. if you need anymore help just ask.

Q: What is the cost of front and rear brakes on a 2005 Nissan Quest ?
The dealer charges around $400.00; is that alot?

A: WOW, way too much. I would estimate around 200-300 dollars depending on the type of pad you get. Usually a 30-40 dollar pad is sufficient. So that equates to about 70-80 dollars in part cost and then I wouldnt pay more than 150 dollars for labor. Sears is a good place to do brakes. Also on a 2005 Quest you shouldnt need rear brake pads yet unless you have already put a lot of miles on it. I think the dealer is just trying to get money from you. Front pads should be replaced around 40,000 to 50,000 miles depending on how you drive. And rear pads last a lot longer, probably around 70,000 miles.

Q: I have a 2005 Nissan Quest, where can I go to get an upgraded dvd for my navigation system?
Does anyone know where I get the upgraded dvd for my Navigation system, without having to go back to the dealership?

A: You can buy it directly from the company that is in charge of that software. (should be called NAVTEQ). You can find that here: http://www.navigation.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/WFS/Navteq-NavteqNorthAmerica-Site/en_US/-/USD/ViewStandardCatalog-Browse?CatalogCategoryID=7v4KCghBL64AAAEcJiUOF3tI&ShowAllProducts=YES&PersistNavigationMenu=YES it's not cheap at all though, will set you back $190. Navigation upgrade DVD's are usually quite expensive. I'm still surprised though, since the Navigation DVD for an 06 Acura TL is $149, thought the DVD for the Quest would at least be a little cheaper.

Q: Has anyone had mechanical problems with a 2005 Nissan Quest?
What about the newer models of the Nissan Quest? Are there any problems? Although everything is covered by warranty, this 2005 Nissan Quest has alot of problems mechanically.

A: I have a 2004 Quest that has been subject to over a dozen recalls. Mostly it has been minor issues: doors not closing right, rattles, squeaks, etc. The engine and transmission have been fine through 40K miles, but just about everything else is just JUNK.

Q: How do I pull the radio out of a 2005 Nissan Quest?
I am trying to remove my radio from a Nissan Quest so I can connect my MP3 player to the FM antenna connector. Any idea how to get it out of the dash? All the clips/screws on the dash are hidden, and I cannot find a Chiltons manual that explains how. Can anyone help, or direct me to an ISBN number to a manual?

A: in my nissan altima, first i had to crack off the plastic around the gear shift bar, than there are hidden screws underneath as well as on top of the player, its not visible so try to feel it, and there's one more screw on the bottom left side of the fuse box, than every thing else just pops right off with a little preassure aplied, once again i don't know if your car is the same, but it should be very similar, please tell me if this helped.
