Q: can you help me find a workshop manual for a 1995 Nissan sentra with a GA14DE engine?

A: Ebay has tons. The service manual will be for all models from the year of your car. Also try your local auto parts store. They will cost a lil more than whats on Ebay, but the bonus is if its in stock, you won't have to wait for it to ship.

Q: how to remove a starter in a 1995 nissan sentra gxe?
i have the bottom bolt off and wires off cant get the top bolt and witch direction should i pull it out when i disconnect the top bolt

A: BECAUSE THE TOP BOLT IS UNDER THE AIR FILTER PIPE. It comes in from the transmission side after you get it out now the juggling begins it will just go past the axle when you get it angled just right. I just hope you use a good remanufactured starter " like Nissan"

Q: Is this cd player compatable with a 1995 Nissan Sentra?? HELP!?
hear me out on this one, I know absolutely nothing about cars. I want to buy my boyfriend a new cd player for his car, and i like the looks of this one http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=4744710 Is this player compatible with his car?? i don't want to buy him something that he wont even be able to hook up. 1995 Nissan Sentra GXE

A: It ok...Can I suggest a different CD player though? Kenwood CD players fit right into most Nissans using the stock mounting plates. Kenwood has several mounting positions to fit many different Japanese autos. All that would really be needed would be an adapter harness that goes between the radio's harness and the stock head unit harness. As for your question. It's possible that it will fit, but it might require a mounting kit.

Q: I am looking to buy a 1995 nissan sentra gxe or se, good body shape with no motor or trans..........?
I am in need of a nissan sentra in good ( + ) body shape , I have a nissan now with an awsome motor and trans in need of a body .......

A: Check down south out of the rust states. You might find a car with both running motor an good body work. BUT WHY? 1995 sentra is almost unsafe by todays crash test standards and it emits more pollution than the more modern designed cars of today. Some states will pay money to get old cars off of the road.

My car's oil has to be added almost every week or week and a half. It only has 100,000 miles and I do not travel far. Only from home to work which is less than 10 minutes away. Could it be that there's something wrong with the make of the car?...please help.

A: The rings or valve seals are prob bad.

Q: How do you clear the "check engine" light on a 1995 Nissan Sentra GXE?

A: Remove the battery cables from the battery for a few minutes then reconnect. It resets the computer.

Q: How do you remove and replace the antenna on a 1995 Nissan Sentra.
The antenna broke off and part of it is still inside the connector but there's no way to remove it. My only other option is to competely change the antenna but I can't get it off.

A: Here is the repair guide for it, but it skips the 95! Maybe it will help you! Good luck! http://www.autozone.com/shopping/repairGuide.htm?pageId=0900c1528006a202#hd1-1-1

Q: 1995 nissan sentra blown headgasket...does head need shaved?
my 1995 nissan sentra blew a head gasket, it's a 1.6 motor 5 speed manuel tranny with very low miles. i've been told by several different people that the aluminum head does not need to be shaved, and i've also been told that it does need shaved. does anyone know if it does or doesn't? thanks i already know that you need new head bolts and all that i just wanted to check and see if anyone else has suggestions.

A: Dear Crystal- Its going to depend on how badly the cylinder head was warped, if it was warped at all. What you may need to be concerned with is whether or not the cylinder head has been cracked. It totally depends on the design, whether the car was overheated when the gasket failed, and how long the vehicle was operated with the gasket in a failed condition. This is one time that I normally do not let Private Shops do the work. I normally turn this type of heavy engine work over to the Dealerships because they are constantly working on the same product. They will also be able to more readily deal with any additional problems when it comes to obtaining parts for your car. I have spent years working in both the Private Shops and the Dealerships. I prefer the Dealerships to the Private Shops for just the reason I mentioned. I hope that helps you out. Good Luck!

Q: where is the vehicle speed sensor located on a 1995 nissan sentra with a 5 speed manual?
it looks like somebody did a clutch job and didnt hook everything back up.

A: idk. that's why it's your car and i'm NEVER driving it. I love you.

Q: I have a 1995 Nissan sentra and I want to know a good way to tune or gain some more power?
I don't want to do the whole NOS thing but I will do a Turbo, but I want to know what can I do to get it going faster than stock and maybe even most of the mild tuned guys who mainly do the loud pipes. I don't want the bumble be sound but I did here one that was pretty deep for a four cyl. Any suggestions will greatly be appreciated.

A: I agree with metro weight reduction helps a lot! also having the cylinder head gas flowed, performance exhaust, chipped, re bored, performance spark plugs, pulleys, racing camshafts, all those can increase your power substantially likewise with turbo and nitrous, but I'll let you in on a small racing secret... Shortening your con rods and putting in a racing crankshaft, shorter con rods mean less rotation, quicker revs and more power.. also racing camshafts, better air flow from an induction kit, performance exhaust and racing chip, you could go the turbo route, new fuel management system. To sum it up, better airflow, less weight and less friction mean plenty power...

Q: The wiper on my 1995 Nissan Sentra does not work on the intermittent speed although it works on the others?
I undrestand there may be a bad resistor. If so where is it located? Can I replace it myself?

A: Get it checked out to see exactly what it is. If it's your switch, it runs about 50 bucks, if it's the motor it's about 200. It could also be the wiper amplifier. That also runs about 50 dollars.

Q: 1995 Nissan Sentra with a gas smell outside the vehicle and in the trunk, answers?
We have taken the car to two different dealers and they both came back with the typical dealer response, "cannot reproduce the problem". I have checked the air filter seat & ensured the gas cap had a complete seal. I have also inspected the fuel lines from the tank to the engine with no visible leaks.

A: You gotta be kidding me. This is a very simple question. Go to a shop that has a smoker, even the dealer should have this. It hooks up with an adaptor to where the gas cap goes, system gets pressurized, source of leak is found, pretty simple. We charge 99 dollars at my shop to do that and determine the source of the leak.

Q: What would make a 1995 Nissan Sentra not turn over and make a buzzing/himming noise when the key is in?
My Sentra is not turning over in the afternoon. It turns over in the morning, but not the afternoon. When I try to start it, it makes a humming buzzing noise. Starter? Bad battery?

A: could be a starter. If it happens, put the car in neutral and roll it a few feet forward or backward and then try again. Wouldn't hurt to go to an autoparts store and they'll check your battery, voltage regulator and alternator in just a few seconds.

Q: How much for a 1995 Nissan Sentra w/ 130k miles?
I've posted a few of these now, sorry if it's a bit much. But my knowledge of cars is actually that low, and it's crunch time for car shopping. 1995 Nissan Sentra on craigslist - "Great condition, well taken care of." Says it has new fuel pump, battery, alternator with new belts, new sparkes and wires, new brake system. He's asking $1500, which is pushing my budget range. What's it worth?

A: you need to visit kelly blue book it's the most trusted name in determining car worth. www.kbb.com and you don't need experience to use it good luck I am a mechanic in the Army and 1500 for that car doesn't sound bad at all especially with all the parts he's put on it
