A: Not sure on this particular car, but usually near the heater box, sometimes mounted right to it. If you have a hard time getting at it, pull the liner out of your glove box.

I have had my 1996 Sentra for under a year, I bought it at great mileage 70,000, car fax checked out etc... I can't seem to get my "Check Engine" light off. I even bought it to the Nissan Shop!! They did the computer reset and said it's fine, it's all taken care of , one week later, there goes my check engine light again. I still have it on, but how come Nissan could not fiqure it out? My next car, Toyota!!! The oxygen and speedsensors has been both changed.

A: Hey, remove the pole negative from you battery for 15 seconds connect again and the next time when you put gasoline be shure you tight the gasoline cap firmly, also go to some auto parts store like autozone and have a free check engine light and post again what PO you have, have a nice day.

it turns off randomly at a complete stop or about to stop, and it takes a good 5 minutes to start back up. I have put in it a new distributor, a different mass air flow sensor, i have done tune ups on it, all fuel parts have been checked, i only use high octane gas, and yet my mechanic and Nissan cant seem to find the problem

A: i have had that problem with 3 cars that i have owned over the years. it turned out to be something with the transmission. i don't remember what it was called but all my mechanic did was unplug a wire from the transmission that deals with the tork converter and after that the cars ran fine.

A: The only way to fix this is to replace the headlights. The discoloration is in the plastic itself and can't be cleaned off.

1 of my teeth on my nissian crankshaft sprocket is busted and it made it skip timing as it got turned off with no torque so nothing is bent or warped. can I just pop the sproket off or will I have to lift the motor?

This car has 168,000 miles on the engine and it still runs good. The Air Conditioner works good. I needs minor body work on the passenger side and rear bumper. There are minor leaks in the power steering and oil. The oil leak is probably due to a old gasket since it doesn't run low for awhile after a oil change.

i have a 1996 nissan sentra, I have had the starter and battery changed at pep boys, my thermostat has been chnaged, but my car won't start when it's hot weather outside. okay, well the battery has tested good, the battery terminals are new and the starter is brand new and the car will start .. every time when its cool..

A: When you say it won't start, will the car turn over? (Meaning it is trying to start but it's just not catching?) or does it not turn over at all? If it doesn't turn over at all, you'll have to revisit either the battery or the starter motor. Both should still be under warranty if you just had them replaced. For the starter motor, I hope you were smart enough to choose the one with the lifetime warranty. The ones with a one year warranty, just aren't well made/re-manufactured.

A: yes it is. the sr20de from the Se-r would fit. but you would need to get the motor, trans. the motor and trany monts, a ecu and wiring harness. After you have all that i would get a stronger drive shaft so it could hold the power
