Q: 2004 Nissan Sentra 1.8L is hard to start and it turns off after a while?
I have a 2004 Nissan Sentra that it started to stop when driving on the free way. and when I try to start it doesnt start and when it does it goes back off again. the Check engine light came on and it was supposdly" Crankshaft positioning sensor" so i replaced it but it still did it. my second thing is that it might be the Fuel Pump. my car is about 86K miles help please, and if is the pump is it hart to replace?

A: usaly the pumps ez i would do the filter frist and have somone do a fuel pressur check, it does sound like the pump, jap cars usaly had a port under the rear seat or in the trunk to acces the tank

Q: Does my 2004 Nissan Sentra have keyless entry?
I recently purchased a used 2004 Nissan Sentra 1.8 S and I have came across a couple of articles that said that keyless entry in standard on it. When I purchased it from the dealership they said that they did not have a set for it. Is there a way of verifying if there is a keyless entry option on my car? Can I just open the hood and see something that can tell me? Not sure if it matters but the car was a previous rental. Thanks for any help!

A: The only way is does it have power locks locks, if it does than it will have keyless entry and nissan will sell the fobs, however there are after market companies that make them for a lot less

Q: 2004 nissan sentra metal to metal grinding noise?
My 2004 nissan sentra started making a metal to metal grinding noise after we had a bad snow storm and the drive way was rutted with ice.The noise is coming from the front drivers side,only makes noise when car is moving in reverse and the wheel is turned all the way to the right.Any sudjestions would be appreciated

A: Could be a number of things. Could be rock or object stuck between rotor and pads, road salt damage, bearing, etc. Take the vehicle to your mechanic or I suggest most A NISSAN DEALERSHIP, they have ASE certified techs that know your car inside and out.

Q: More often than not, my car won't catch the first time I start it on my 2004 Nissan Sentra 1.8S?
I just recently bought an 04 Sentra 1.8 S and more often than not when I try to start it, the car will not catch in the ignition, meaning I need to try again. The car IS fuel injected too, what could be causing this too happen? It's sort of getting annoying.

A: My opinion is you have a fuel problem. The fuel pressure is bleeding down when the car sits and it doesnt build up enough pressure to start the first time. You probably notice it starts right away if it's just been running and not sitting for awhile correct? Your fuel pump may be going bad and it's not holding the pressure as it should and is allowing the fuel to bleed back into the tank.

Q: How can I get a copy of a 2004 nissan sentra owners manual?
I'm looking mainly for a copy of the page where the fuse boxes are located and which is which. I bought the car and it didn't have a manual in the glovebox.

I checked Kelley Blue Book and the price was $9,040 but I want your opinion. Is $9,040 too much or too little?? It has sunroof, navigation system, autostart,etc. No accidents, it's in great condition. 35,204 miles

A: Navigation ???? on an 04 are you certain ? aftermarket or factory ? I have never seen that option on an 04 - 06. The price is definitely right on the money based on current market conditions, frankly with the price of fuel am surprised those models are not selling a little higher. Q: Does anyone know what to do to fix a 2004 Nissan Sentra sun visor that won't stay up?
As my wife was pulling down the passenger side sun visor, there was a soft snapping noise and since then the visor will not stay up. I removed the visor and tried replacing it, but that didn't fix it (that would have been great). I don't know if it has a spring mechanism or something else, but I would like to avoid a trip to the dealership for something like this. Not a big deal, but any help is appreciated.

The 2002 is a spec v and the 04 isnt. I used to own the 04 but my daughter crashed it. Now I have found a good deal on a 2002 spec v 6 speed. How do they compare? Which is more reliable and which has more problems? Which one is faster?

A: the 02 spec was the first rebirth of the se-r. we have a few issues, i mean they look waaaay better than the 04. we have the front skyline fascia and looks alot meaner. the newer car almost always is more reliable, yet if you get a good deal on the spec v, take it! yet the bad parts are the butterfly screws, the exhaust hanger, fuel pump, little things. i mean its really worth it, i own one and they are real nice and i got a little under 400 miles to the full tank on the highway. its an awesome car and it handles amazingly. email me if you have any questions :)
