Q: On a 2006 Nissan Sentra 1.8S, where is the relay that operates the door locks?
Everytime I start the car, the door locks lock and then unlock.

A: Yeah, if they lock and unlock at the same time, it's the relay. They are under the hood in a black plastic box....well, they should be. Of course, the actual switch is inside the door panels themselves.

Q: 2006 Nissan Sentra repair question?
I have a 2006 Nissan Sentra. I had an oil change and fuel injection cleaning done yesterday, and now my car won't rev above 2800 rpms in third gear. I can eventually get up to interstate speeds, but I have no power. If I try to set cruise control, the Set light on the dashboard blinks and nothing happens. I can push the accelerator to the floor and nothing happens. Can you tell me what has happened and suggest a fix?

A: Go to a dealer. They have a scanner called the consult II which not only reads the codes but also reads the data which will pin point what your lack of power is caused by.

Q: "2006 nissan sentra rim size" what do u prefer?
i have a 2006 nissan sentra. my stock rims and tires are 195/55/16. should i get 17 inch rims (215/45/17) or 18 inch rims 215/40/18? which do u prefer and why?

A: Stick to 17s. That way, you won't totally destroy the ride quality. Also, larger wheels actually slow the car down, since it's harder to get them to start rotating - this is why race cars don't use really tall wheels. Either way, make sure you can get tyres rated for M+S in your size - they can he hard to find when looking for low profile tyres - and sometimes impossible to find in your size - but driving in snow on summer tyres is no joke, either. Good luck!

Q: 2006 Nissan Sentra 1.8SE clicking noise heard in front end NEED HELP?
I've got a 2006 nissan sentra that i have a wierd click or clunk noise in front end when backing up or turning at slow speeds. anyone got any ideas, it's still under warranty but i just don't have time to take it and drop it off and leave it for a few days....i know it takes that long because i work in service for a car dealership.....i'm hoping something simple my guys can look at.

A: Sounds to me like you might have an axle problem, or maybe even a bearing problem, have your service guys check into that. Either one should still be covered by warranty..

Q: I Got A 2006 Nissan Sentra Spec V Is It Worth Putting A Turbo In It?
In my 2006 sentra spec v is worth paying a couple thousand to put a turbo in it. How much faster would it be.(Better be faster than STR-4 lol....)

A: A bit of warning. The QR25DE motor in your Spec V is not as reinforced other cars that came turbo charged from the factory. The QR25DE motor has light weight internals to save on weight and the 2.5 displacement has a longer stroke. The two together do not make it an optimal car to turbo charge, but it can be done and make some pretty good power. I would be reluctant to turbo charge the car, for reliability reasons. Too bad Nissan didn't put the SR20DE motor in the 02+ SpecV. I am not an expert, but I would suggest hitting up http://forums.nicoclub.com for more information.

Q: Can someone tell me what is wrong with my 2006 Nissan Sentra?
when my car is not worm... when it shifts from 1st gear to 2nd gear it kinda jerks/clogs not sure how to explain it. what can be wrong?

A: It could just be cold natured and need 5 minutes or so to warm up before driving or you could have transmission problems...ie, low fluid, dirty fluid, clogged filter....or you could be experiencing fuel delivery/burning problems

Q: How can i get the disc out of my 6 disc cd changer for my 2006 Nissan Sentra.?
My car was recently bumped from behind and now i cant listen or eject any of my cds out of the changer. Does any one know how to fix this problem.

A: It sounds a lot easier than it is. I've tried to get cds out of these units. You will either damage the unit or the cd trying to get them out. Just take it to a place that repairs them. Or get an aftermarket system.

Q: How do I remove my headunit in my 2006 Nissan Sentra?
I am wanting to put and amp into my car, but I don't know how to remove the head unit to add the wires, any help?

A: Removing the audio unit start by pulling to the rear the surrounding plastic from the A/C heater controls. Now open and pull back on the top compartment look along the sides of the heater controls for silver metal and six sheet metal screws magnetic screwdriver remove three screws each side that fasten the silver metal to the dash plastic. Now with the radio and bracket loose you can lift out the stock radio and unbolt the pan head machine screws on the sides of the old radio. Brackets are marked L and R. Take that Clarion Junk radio and throw it really hard against the wall Or box it up and keep it like me till I don't remember what car it came out of. and go shopping for a blue tooth MP-3 input ready satellite Sirius Or XM ready unit with pre amplifier out puts to run as many amps you want. Some audio units are I-Pod Or Zune ready with cable for charging and playing. Crutchfield or Best Buy or local auto radio shop.

Q: how to mkae a custom cai for a 2006 nissan sentra with out affecting the cars cpu or anything?
I'm trying to make a custom cai for my 2006 nisasn sentra 1.8 it is completely stock but the only problem is that there is a tube looking thing with a sensor on it how do i bypass or intergrate that into my cai?? please help me!!!

A: your gonna need to leave it there. Its the mass air flow sensor, or MAF sensor.. if its not there, you car will barely idol and die out. I pretty sure aem makes a air bypass, you can check it out on their website.

Q: 2006 nissan sentra clunks when i decelerate about once daily seems to do this about the time it downshifts ?
to first gear. what tests can nissan do on the transmission? had the front end looked at by goodyear they said it looked good as far as the cv joints, shocks and what ever they look at. thanks

A: It is not uncommon to get a harsh down shift to low gear while slowing down around 18 miles an hour. 2006 Sentra needs to shift firmly down to first. What you describe is a normal condition and if you want to take time out of work drive on over it's Nissan customer care month. A technician might find brake work or other services your car may need. Basically if the fluid is clean red and does not smell like it is burnt everything is ok. You did not include that your car has approx 60,000 miles on it? 2009 cars at your Nissan dealership now!

Q: 2006 Nissan Sentra. How can I add more horsepower?
I have a base model Nissan Sentra (2006) It's has the standard engine 1.8 Petro. It's rated @ 126 H.P. I'd like to add another 20 to by making some changes. I'm looking for recommendations. I love the car, I bought It new and it now has 38K miles on it. It could use some extra zip though.

A: Weapon-R Dragon Air Intake or other cold air intake, hi-flow exhaust system, bigger throttle body, underdrive crank pulley. all of these together will run you under 1000$ if done right and could gain you 20plus HP easy. heck, a performance chip alone could add close to 20 HP in some cases. dropping the car a few inches will add to the aerodynamics of the car too. also you could use carbon fiber wherever you can and empty out unnecessary items in the car (lighter is faster!!!!)......HAVE FUN!!!!!!
