Q: 1st car 1989 nissan skyline or 1993 mitsibishi lancer?
i was guna get a lancer 1500cc non turbo and put an evo bodykit on it but i came across a 1989 nissan skyline gtst 2000cc turbo would the skyline use alot more petrol as this is my first car and dont want to be spending shitloads on fuel and also should i be worried that it is a turbo with 269,000km (167148miles) on the speedo would there be any issues with the turbo blowing.
thanx
A: I answered this question in more detail on the other question you asked but.
Another thought i did not add last time is will the lancer become limited to you in the reason that when i was younger i owned smaller cc cars and after a while they seemed hard work tuning was slow and costly and the power seemed to hold me back and was always on the hunt for more power and the cars that i really liked and then hated.Iam not knocking the lancer as i like them but a general thought which i had and my friend is having atm,he crashed his supra mk4 and now has a celica which is a great car but being the na version it is driving him mad and he hates owning the car that bad he will not even wash it.So the point is will the lancer meet all your needs after a year. Against the Skyline or any bigger cc car that may last you a good few years more, and tuning wise for example you can see high bhp figures and style wise the skyline has a mass of bodykits out there to alter its style from street racer to VIP to drift to GTR looks.
As said before fuel wise i found them to be really good and cheap to run for the cars that they are.Very roomy and mileage wise as mentioned on my other answer to check the car has had regular service and that belts etc have been changed if not you want the price reduced to allow you to do this job.
Also the R32 is getting older now and examples are getting less so if you want to own one now is the time.
The turbo blowing as said again on the other question stock ones are cheap to replace and there are loads of aftermarket ones out there to give you ore bhp figures so you may want it to blow to allow you to buy a bigger turbo.
Q: nissan 240sx?

Q: bought a mp3 / cd player for a car of later model. How do i install it as it doesnt want to work.?
I have a nissan skyline 1989 model. I think the original was just radio then old owner put a tape deck in. We trying to install this new player as mentioned but doesnt seem to want to work. Could anyone help by telling me what i need to do this. i went back where i bought the cd player and they say my car is old and it is hard to get the connections for this nissan skyline 1989. think this is crap as lots of young kids drive these with cd players installed. I brought the car fo my son and brought him the player for xmas now we cant get it installed. just to let u know the older player worked so we know there is power there. We also got the new cd player and tried it in another car and we got it working. So just problems with this nissan, getting it installed. there are just 2 speakers in the door at the moment and no other extra things for the sound system if this helps. thanks guys hope someone can help. got a teen bit dissapointed here.

Wiring Diagram for Nissan pre and after 94
Any probs try on the Skyline free worldwide forum at the top,the best place tp ask for any Skyline and RB problems.
My old R32 was empty space with all the wire cut right in.I took mine to a Car radio fitter as didnt want to face all the wires, even they had trouble fitting the new cd player and took them hours.Best asking on the forum as i believe a few extra bits are needed.
Q: Nissan Skyline Body Kits in Canada?
I'm having a hell of a time finding a retailer that sells Skyline R32 body kits in Canada - I'm looking for a kit for a 1989 GTS-4 Coupe. I've been able to find two whole retailers so far, TSS in Abotsford sells a Bee*R kit that I'm fond of, but looks to be out of my price range, and another retailer I came across that sells R34 kits for some reason.
Any suggestions?
A: Good luck with this search.
I bought a 89 GTS-4 from Canada a few years ago I ended up getting a kit from California.
Still didn't fit perfect lots of cutting and modding to make it look right on there.
Luckily I know how to do this already.

A: The lancer is a new car and a nice starting car and will see you right.
But do not overlook the skyline myself owned the R32 a good few years ago and found that the fuel on the 2.0l version was really great ok its not going to do 60mpg but for the car it is i was well impressed and i have owned a string of turboed cars,we took ours into 3 countries on a road trip and budgeted the fuel, but on return we had loads of extra cash which we did not need.So fuel wise these engines are very good atm we have an R33 spec 2 Skyline now that loves to drink fuel at 17mpg driving slow.
The R32 is very roomy front and back its no limo but i have owned a good amount of sporty cars and it feels roomy the boot/trunk is big enough to sleep in and the rear room offers leg room for passengers.
The mileage is not high foe the engine by any means, providing it has been looked after, make sure there has been regular servicing done on this car,and the belts have been changed twice at that mileage,if not knock the price of the belt change off the bill (belts tensioners and water pump).
The turbo wise if it is a stock turbo then do not panic those things are pretty cheap to buy at less then $150.And there are a mass of aftermarket turbo's to buy to give you more power.
These are strong tunable engines but need expensive oil when oil is changed and not cheap oil ,and fuel wise use a high octane fuel and not a regular fuel,(it will make no difference it really will)that car was made to run of 100 ron and i have to put 98 ron in mine which is safe but when i put 100 101 ron in to it it comes to life again and it is like adding nos all the time. But only add high ron fuel.I added a regular fuel to a Nissan s13 a god few years ago and it cost me loads to get it working properly again.
